Madonna is a NUT case.. There are PLENTY of "adoptable" children in the USA.. homeless and orphans.. Why don't she "adopt" some of them, instead of going to these 3rd world countries, and charity begins AT HOME!

Madonna actually has Malawi citizenship, making the country one of her homes. So shut it, Babs.
Madonna, you could atleast give a fair portion to homeless kids here. I know it is horrible in other countries but that is why we are broke due to helping everyone else. Does anyone help out for the homeless children here? Do you realize that we will soon have 25% our children homeless and hungry; does that mean anything to you? Whatever happened to help out your fellowman? Shame on you ,Madonna!!

Children in Malawi aren't "fellow man"? What you really mean is "fellow Americans." How ethnocentric of you.
Also, did you bother to check her charitable donations records before you shamed her? Fact is, she does donate to US charities as well.
Oh, I just love Madonna and how sweet of her to try to help others instead of just settling for being rich and famous. Good for her! (Have you noticed that the haters and jealous folks posting here are unable to spell? LOL! Poor things. Too bad they couldn't finish school, but there are adult literacy programs available just about everywhere. There's really no excuse for remaining ignorant.)

1 in 6 children in the United States lives in poverty. Perhaps not an orphanage, but wouldn't it be more useful and better spent to help end hunger and poverty at home. This would eliminate the need for many orphanages.

The conditions here aren't as bad as in Malawi, so I fail to see how the money would be better spent here.
She needs fresh young blood for her rejuvenation experiments.LOL

one thing is true: a poor kid here in USA have it a lot better than any poor kid in Africa, where (among other things) they want is clean water and something to eat, other than toys and video games for christmas.
Helping another human beign is always plausible, regardless of where they live, and I'm sure all of those who critize Madonna I'm sure they don't even help their own neighbor or worse, their own family, you know, that's why walfare is there right ?
shut up and follow the example, help one another !
*sigh*
