Christina Aguilera Signs on for Season Two of 'The Voice'

With one season down, Christina Aguilera is already gearing up for the second season of NBC's 'The Voice.' According to The Hollywood Reporter, Aguilera signed on to keep her spot as the talent fairy godmother on the singing show.

Although this year's winner was not Aguilera's protégé (fellow judge, Adam Levine's team member, Javier Colon, took the $100,000 piece of cake and recording contract), she's revved up to put a win next to her name for season two.

"If they'll have me, I'd be delighted to be back," Aguilera coyly told THR before confirming that she would in fact return to the show.

And why not? The winner's cash prize is chump change compared to the diva's salary. Aguilera makes $225,000 per episode -- that $150,000 more than what her fellow judges -- Levine, Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green -- rake in.

But according to the show's host, Carson Daly, Aguilera or no Aguilera, the show that is beginning to rival 'American Idol' would have lived on anyway.

"This show is bigger than any of its coaches or the host," Daly told the New York Post. "This show will live on in perpetuity with many a star in those chairs."

Although this may be true, we have a feeling that Aguilera certainly brings in a viewer or two.

Personally, I liked her the LEAST out of all the judges. She's a very obnoxious person as well as acts like a spoiled brat. Don't much care for 'ol Chrissy not one iota.

I have to agree. Paying her what all three judges get (total) is very stupid. Blake was the most interesting, Christina was the least of the four.

I liked how when there was any type of critique to be made of the contestants, Xtina sure seemed to make it all about her. Out of all the judges, I think she brought the least to the table.

Actually, it might be better if they changed the judges evry year. I liked everybody this year enough but a swinging door with other personalities and stars mentering these people looking for a break could be a fresh approuch to these types of shows and would help separate this show from Idol and give it a whole new & different perspective..

Agreed! She was annoying and immature at times. Hopefully she gets paid less or the others get paid more. I like The Voice though, it cares about the individuals as opposed to making them all the same like Idol.
