Christina Aguilera Signs on for Season Two of 'The Voice'

With one season down, Christina Aguilera is already gearing up for the second season of NBC's 'The Voice.' According to The Hollywood Reporter, Aguilera signed on to keep her spot as the talent fairy godmother on the singing show.

Although this year's winner was not Aguilera's protégé (fellow judge, Adam Levine's team member, Javier Colon, took the $100,000 piece of cake and recording contract), she's revved up to put a win next to her name for season two.

"If they'll have me, I'd be delighted to be back," Aguilera coyly told THR before confirming that she would in fact return to the show.

And why not? The winner's cash prize is chump change compared to the diva's salary. Aguilera makes $225,000 per episode -- that $150,000 more than what her fellow judges -- Levine, Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green -- rake in.

But according to the show's host, Carson Daly, Aguilera or no Aguilera, the show that is beginning to rival 'American Idol' would have lived on anyway.

"This show is bigger than any of its coaches or the host," Daly told the New York Post. "This show will live on in perpetuity with many a star in those chairs."

Although this may be true, we have a feeling that Aguilera certainly brings in a viewer or two.

The show a hit, i dont think so, its no where near Idol. Why did the rating for the Final lower than yesterdays. If it were a big hit they would of least had 14 million viewers, not even close, try 10-11 million, mediocre rating, but for NBC it is major.

I thought all the judges did an excellent job. Christina was caring to all contestants and sharing her own song with Beverly was truly special. Lots of jealous people out there. I do however believe all judges deserve to be paid equally.

I agree, I thought all the judges did a great job, the show has a great format, except they should only cut 1 person from each team per week after they each have 8 performers or at worst when they each have their best 4. Xtina is an incredible talent. I was very impressed with Adam and Blake how they worked with their talent. Cee Lo was very good too, it would be good to see a few more weeks of eliminations and to see more of the creative process, bringing their teams talent along. Looking forward to season 2.

The exact same way you can read about it.

It started out to be a good show. After the 2 hour off key, poorly rehersed over inflated love fest special Tuesday, then the dissappointing one hour finale, I expect rating will decline. They broke the bubble. Look these amatuers sing for a minute, then each judge jumps on a soap box and rants meaningless praise for 4 minutes each. Who can sit and watch that for two hours. Oh if you can't honor the memory of Freddie Mercury correctly please don't screw up his songs live like that. It was horrible.

from what I read, christina is paid more than the others because her name is the most recognizable. However, I do agree that all judges should be paid the same. I'm glad that Javier Colon won. I didn't know who I wanted to win more as long as it wasn't beverly. Woman is a wonderful singer, just didn't like her. I was disappointed when adam took kasey weston to his final two and not Jeff Jenkins. I'm sure she is a good singer, but to me she warbled all the way through that song I will always love you.

She is so overated!!! She can't sing at all. It takes her 2 min. to sing one note. Let's not talk about that overprocessed straw hair and the overdone, overexposed cleavage. Tone it down Aguilara and hire a professional stylist and hairdresser/make-up artist. Leave the red lips to Gwen Stefani she rocks hers.

She was my least favorite judge...she rambles on and on. I'm really not a fan of hers to begin with, she didn't win me over on the show. I really like the show and the other judges.

She has talent as a singer, but from what I've watched of The Voice, she always seems bored. Sometimes she is rude to the contestants, and usually turns the conversation to herself when she is supposed to be talking about someone else's performance.

Christina was petty, cutting, and rude. She put down other contestants not on "her team" and opted to use her own songs for duets. Christina was about christina, not the conetestants. Dump her........

I Love The Voice....Finally a show that someone is picked because of their voice ONLY...not looks, age or whatever else ..

Nobody else will pay her to sit on her big fat a** and act like her poo dont stink. Always had to make it about her not the contestants blah!!!!!!!!!!!
