It's been talked about, reported about and speculated about and now the day has finally arrived and so have the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. They boarded their Royal Canadian Air Force plane at London's Heathrow Airport earlier today, ready to embark on their North American adventure and after a flight over the Atlantic and a quick outfit change for the Duchess, they have touched down in Canada.
Prince William and Kate Middleton landed in Ottawa, the first stop on their 12 day tour, and will continue on to Prince Edward Island, Yellowknife and Calgary before they head to the USA, for their much anticipated stop in Los Angeles. They've planned their trip overseas just in time for Canada Day. Tomorrow, the royal couple will join millions of Canadians celebrating the country's 144th birthday.
The pair will continue on to Hollywood on Friday, July 8 and spend 3 days making their way from charity event to charity event. They will begin their stay with a Consular-General Reception on behalf of the United Kingdom Trade and Investment.
The following day, Prince William will play in a charity polo match at the Santa Barbara Polo Club to benefit the American Friends of the Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry and later that evening they will put on their fanciest attire -- we can't wait to see Kate's hat -- for a black-tie affair held by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, to spotlight "up and coming British talent."
Sounds like a jam packed excursion for the the newlyweds.

I think William will make an excellent King he cares about the people and seems in touch with the regular Brits.
I'm sorry, I can't get excited about someone who was born into privilege and who walks the Earth with an undeserved sense of entitlement. He'll be bald within a year.

Because she can make it down the stairs all by herself. Besides he's in the right position, just ahead of her, if an accident should happen.
Another reason he doesn't hold her hand - even though they are married - HE is the heir to the throne and would always walk slightly ahead of her. The Queen does it with her hubby - you'll never see him holding her hand and especially, not walking in front of her. Plus, general manners dictate that a man goes ahead of a woman when going down stairs/steps and behind her when going up - in case she should fall. Most of us in this country are lucky if our better half holds the door open until we get all the way inside!! She will most likely never be seen holding his hand in public or walking beside him. She'll be slightly behind him. Royalty does have its protocol!
And how old is the social climbing biotch again?? Coz she's beginning to look old enough to be mistaken for his mother!!
