Prince Albert II and Charlene Wittstock Say 'I Do'

It was a royal affair in Monaco Friday morning as Prince Albert II and longtime girlfriend, Charlene Wittstock married in a civil ceremony inside their palace,
Us magazine reports. Although we have a feeling that
Prince William and
Kate Middleton will hold their ground as the most popular royal newlyweds, the nuptials mark the end of a lengthy courtship and long anticipated union for the couple -- the pair first met 11 years ago.
Wittstock, 33, is a former Olympic swimmer from South Africa who met Prince Albert, 53, at a swimming competition in Monaco in 2000, although they never made an official appearance together until the Winter Olympic games in 2006.
Even though the now Princess of Monaco and her Prince are officially man and wife, the pair will hold a second religious ceremony and gala on Saturday evening to celebrate and make things even more official. Although French tabloids reported earlier this week that Wittstock came down with a case of cold feet and tried to flee the country, the pair strictly denied the reports.
"The Royal Palace formally denies the false allegations published on the site www.lexpress.fr," Palace officials said in a statement, according to CNN. "The sole intention of these rumors is to seriously damage the image of the Sovereign, as a result of damaging that of Miss Wittstock, and bear down on this happy event."
With Prince William and Middleton having just embarked on their North American tour, they're two royals we can definitely cross off the guest list for tomorrow night's fête.

That has to be the stiffest, coldest couple ever. I see no joy,no radiance. It's all such a farce. She's in it for the money and the title. Why else marry a bald, unattractive man with who knows how many out of wedlock children?

All she has to do now is push out a baby for him.
She is also following in the footsteps of Grace. He looks, except for his coloring, more and more like his father every day.
It has been rumoured many years that he was gay. Of course that is fine. She has to be one tasteful stunning woman, good for her.

Doesn't look like they married for love. Business gown to wed in? It's probably appropriate for THIS wedding.

The civil ceremony in Monaco precedes the religious ceremony. The civil ceremony attire is ALWAYS exactly along the lines of what HSH Prince Albert & Charlene Wittstock wore. The religious ceremony is very large & celebratory. Princess Charlene of Monaco will wear a wedding gown designed especially for her (I believe it will be Armani) and HSH Prince Albert of Monaco will wear either black or white tie.It will be an elaborate wedding.
Whenever he is in the bathroom at home, she can honestly say she has Prince Albert in a can.

Sad couple..the woman is being used much like Diana..Marrying a unattractive man who obviously is marrying because he is forced in order to create a heir...Sick, sick.....His mother, Grace, is probably turning over in her grave. She was soooo unhappy for many years before her death. Wish this beautiful young woman could have escaped the country before being forced to marry this dud!

How would you feel at the last week before the wedding that he could have another child by the third woman? Illegitimate?
