Denise Richards Adoption Inspired By Late Mother

Denise Richards shocked even her closet friends last week when she announced she had adopted a little girl, and although few details have been made public about the child we can confirm the adoption was a long time in the making and inspired by the passing of Denise's own mother in 2007.

"Denise has wanted to adopt for a long time and this was something she talked about with her mom before she passed away," a friend of the actress tells me exclusively. "She wanted to wait to start the process until things were calm with her custody of her two daughters she has with Charlie, (Sam, 7, and Lola, 6) and mourning her mom."

The actress started the process almost two years ago and didn't care if she got a boy or a girl. Her new daughter Eloise Joni -- named after her mother Joni -- is a newborn. Denise, Sam and Lola all agreed the name was perfect.

"She's got the biggest heart in the world and plenty of love to share," a friend tells me. "She learned from her own mom how to be such great parent. Family is more important to her than anything. Sam and Lola are the best big sisters in the world, so Eloise is one lucky little lady."

I'm not much for adopting because it's paying for a human being like property. That aside, it's amazing how people want to chastize this actress for adopting. Don't hear anyone yelling at birth parents who were so horrible their kids had to be taken away. Yell at this actress for not adopting a child older than a baby? Great! How many of those older children will anyone here adopt? How many of you have sterling reputations with marriages and the like? The judgement mirror works both ways.

Why is everyone yelling with ALL CAPS? I'm not a fan of Denise, but even I can't say anyting bad about her wanting to adopt a child. That's a beautiful thing and no one can take that away from her. Denise didn't do it for the attention. She didn't even announce it to her friends until it was a done deal. So, congrats. Frankly, I find it a blessing to read something good after the Casey Anthony results. All I can say about that is...she'll meet her maker one day and she won't be able to lie to him.

I do not realy care what race the kid is. But what bother me is that there are proably a ton of kids here in foster homes. Why go to africa or china or hatie or poland etc to get a kid take care of the ones we have here first. It is proably cheaper and will save our tax dollar because that is once less foster child we have to pay for and more important one more kid that is in a loving home. Oh while I am at it how many of you butt heads adopted a foreign kid because a movie star did it remember they do it for PR and have a baby sitter take care of them.

I think it is great if she cleans up her mouth. No children should grow up in a home where bad language is an every day occurrence. I got this from her reality show. Hopefully she has learned that CHILDREN LEARN WHAT THEY LIVE, and has cleaned up her act. I wish her and her girls the best.

Denise is a piece of work. She marries and births 2 daughters with Sheen, then has an affair with her best friend, then gets her own reality show, then hides because she is afraid of Sheen, and now, she adopts a newborn baby. Yeah, add more children to this sick mix of Sheen's children, and I guess that makes Denise perfect.

There are dozens of childless couples waiting for each available newborn. She did nothing but deprive a childless couple of a baby. If she was really as altruistic as she wants to appear, she would have adopted an older child. She's just another celebrity who has used her wealth and influence to get a baby as a fashion accessory.

Please put your picture up. This woman starred in a James Bond movie and there are no unattractive Bond Women. Also, its one thing to pick on Denise, who is gorgeous, but to pick on two little girls is just utterly disgusting. Get a life and stop being so jealous.
