LeAnn Rimes Shows Off 'Curves' Over July 4th Holiday (Photo)

LeAnn Rimes' slender physique has been criticized time and time again, but the newlywed actress certainly wasn't shy about showing off her skinny self in Malibu over the long weekend.

Donning only a red string bikini, Rimes took to Twitter to show off her "curves," tweeting black-and-white photos of herself on the beach on Sunday.

Rimes has been criticized about looking too skinny these days, causing her trainer, named Michael Jackson, to speak out in her defense.

"I know it really bothers her," Jackson told FOX411.com about all the press surrounding Rimes' body. "A lot of people see pictures of LeAnn and assume certain things. But we're in the process of putting a video together that she'll post to her blog so that people will see what it is that we're doing to get her in shape ... know she's really anxious to show people -- excuse my French -- that she takes her s**t seriously."

Jackson also revealed a healthy diet -- "a lot of lean meats -- fish, chicken -- maybe on occasion, lean turkey" and strength training has helped Rimes get into shape.

"With LeAnn, the one thing I do is boxing -- it's all about boxing," said Jackson. "We use hand mitts and boxing gloves."

Although some maybe-not-so-flattering pics of the actress looking very thin have popped up in recent months, Jackson said she's working hard to look healthy.

"She's really focused, and I think that's what a lot of people don't see -- all the hard work and dedication that she's put in," he said. "[Her weight] is not an issue -- this is [a result of] her lifestyle."

But last weekend was all about family fun for Rimes, who tweeted her patriotism on Monday.

"Happy 4th Of July!!!!! I hope everyone has a safe and blissful 4th w/ your family and friends," she wrote on Twitter.

She is trying REALLY hard to impress somebody-a dig at the ex-wife maybe? Or the folks who trash talked her for being a husband stealer? Or maybe she is trying hard to keep her husband interested-I still say this marriage will be done in 2 years-tops.

She is the nightmare that no ex-wife should have to deal with! Sure wish she had found some single guy to marry and have kids with. My guess is someone or something out there knew she was unfit to breed (how else do you go from no kids with hubby, to acting like mother of the year with someone else's kids......that or her ex knew she wasn't reproducing material and worthy of his DNA). I'm not saying every woman without a kid is unfit to have kids not what I meant at all, LeAnn is just the poster child for unfit breeder. It's like she's desperate for attention or something, a decent woman would lay low, then again a decent woman wouldn't cheat on her husband with a married man with kids. I thinks as a woman she could be a bit more sensitive to the ex-wife of LeLoser Eddie.
