Could Emily Maynard Be the Next 'Bachelorette'?

Though she may have won over 'Bachelor' Brad Womack on 'The Bachelor,' the love didn't seem to last for Emily Maynard. The newly-single reality star is rumored to be in the running to star in the next season of 'The Bachelorette.'
Maynard won the last season of the ABC matchmaking show, but she and Womack just weren't meant to be. The happy couple apparently wasn't so happy -- they seemed on the rocks ever since the
finale aired -- and recently announced they have
broken off their engagement.
Now that Maynard's single, she's hoping to snag the coveted title of 'Bachelorette' for the series' next go-around, according to
Us Weekly.
"She hasn't officially signed on yet, but it looks like a done deal," a source revealed, adding Maynard hopes to use the spotlight afforded by the show to help boost her broadcast journalism career. "She wants to be famous."
Maynard, who is mom to 6-year-old Ricki, is hoping to have some better luck in the love department this time around. She told
PEOPLE last month that though she's no longer engaged to Womack, their broken relationship was not his fault.
"The demise of our relationship was completely my fault," the 38-year-old told said. "Just because we love each other doesn't mean we're right for each other."
Maynard will share even more details of the breakup when she sits down with 'Bachelor' host Chris Harrison during July 11 episode of 'The Bachelorette.'

I'd rather watch paint dry.

Please Emily, don't lower yourself to this level, it will only create more problems for you and Ricki in the end (paparazzi etc.). You're a smart, beautiful woman who should have no trouble "privately" finding a suitable mate. Stay away from ruining your reputation by going on this show!!

I had liked her, BUT she is not made for this kind of show. It's ridiculous that she would even consider being the bachlorette, that would mean means months and months away from the daughter that is her life. She is a little unstable for the fact her man was killed, RIP Rickey. She just needs to live her life in NC, and find a nice family man there.

She's not looking for a lover, she's looking for a father figure for her daughter.
That was painfully obvious to me when Brad didn't know how to play with her daughter at the park they went to.
She's a looker, but she's really looking for a father figure.

You've got to be freaking kidding me.
Bring someone on the show that is NEW. That we have NEVER seen before. How many seasons has it been since THAT happened? I'll be done with the Bachelorette and Bachelor if they bring her back.

Emily fooled me. I thought she was a sweet gentle Southern girl. When I saw several of her interviews I saw a very quick minded woman with a bite to her tongue and thinking. I dont like her and I don't think another recycled failure should be the Bachelorette. No doubt they want Emily and Bentley to end up together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Enough of bringing in the "old merchandise" - it doesn't make sense to recycle the people once
they've been through the process with someone else - clean the slate and make an even playing
field by giving us new faces each time. For some reason, the familiarity factor doesn't work - seems like sloppy seconds. Good luck to all in their quest to find 'love', but there are more than enough people out there to have a new experience each season.

Oh dear God I hope not! I couldn't bear to watch that phony baloney Emily as the next bachalorette. She is proof positive that "too much of a good thing" IS a reality! I don't know how anyone could be fooled by her obnoxious "sweet and innocent" act! They just need to hook her up with Bentley, who is the jerk on the currently running Bachalorette show with Ashely as the new, "recycled" bachalorette! Bentley and Emily are a perfect match for each other! The women and men should have only a one time appearance on either of the shows. The network needs to get fresh new people on each show and not recycle any of them! I know there is an endless supply of applicants! It is really boring and silly, ie. "Jake", Brad, Jillian, Ashley, etc. etc. Need I say more???

Please...not Emily. She's a fake with entitlement issues. She's in the rich house supplied by Ricky's parents(who have a multimillion dollar empire)to take care of their granddaughter, she doesn't work (she's NOT an event coordinator like she claims), but lives off of money supplied by Ricky's family, and now self admits she wants to be famous (shades of Melissa who is now famous). She is using the show as a stepping stone. Bottom line....she's a user. And frankly, I'm kinda done with all these leftover loser people. Give me new faces.

OMG!
Please.....NO MORE Emily! Talk about dumb as a bag of hair! This show has just gone to the pits (as in pit lizard...sorry for the pun) You can count me in as well as a NON-viewer if Emily is the next Bachelorette.
Morals? Hah!
Brains? Are you kidding?
Hey...here's an idea for a new show~
Bentley and the Bimbo

Please no Emily. She is never going to leave Charlotte or the Hendricks money. It's a waste of my time to watch since I already know how it will end. Brad tried but she was not interested in marriage. S he has no give and take in her. It's going to be her way or none. Emily plays the sweet southern belle card to get the big gifts from the guys. I wonder if she gave Brad back the shoes and bracelet he bought?

Pleaseeee. Not Emily. I refuse to watch. Let's get some new faces.

she seems very needy and needs constant attention...she has issues. Her wanting to be the next bachelorette is for the wrong reasons, not to find love. Oh well who finds love on there anyway?
