Can you canoe? Prince William and Kate Middleton certainly can, and they showed off their athleticism on Tuesday in Canada when they paddled their way to a romantic getaway on what's known as 'Honeymoon Island.'According to Us Weekly, the royal couple left Blachford Lake Lodge in the Northwest Territories Tuesday and canoed to Eagle's Island, a small, remote island known for its never-ending sunsets. The island is so far north that the sun only sets for a moment during the summer.
William reportedly planned the quick trip to the island for his new bride after their Canadian plans were in place.
The couple enjoyed three quiet hours together on the small island, which is home to several bald eagle nests. A chef made the pair a special dinner to enjoy by an open campfire, and included local fare like local cranberries, bannock break and caribou steaks.

If anyone is speculating about their "romantic" outing, consider this. Even at their age they are keeping an arduous schedule and must necessarily appear fit and bright at sll times. A little "down time" with the kind of exercise they enjoy and a few hours rest with fresh air in a manner they also seem to prefer was so much better than remaining in their suite for a mandatory and obvious rest. Whoever planned this one knew what they were doing. Well done!

Yes, "well done" to people who have never and will never work a day in their lives. Well done, you youngsters. Well done, for sure.

You don't consider being a search and rescue pilot working? My son also performs search and rescue, and I can tell you that it is, indeed, work! Kate currently is enjoying being a housewife. That, too, is work. They are a wonderful young couple.
Kate worked in her family's business and William works in England's helicopter rescue force. They both graduated from a prestigious university by pulling graduating grades....and no, not everyone in the world has access to that level of education.....but pulling good grades where standards are high is work (as many a spoiled high school grad has found out) Volunteering for field work in worthy causes is work.I think the Brits expect a great deal from these two and will not be disappointed. So far as I can see their national status is at the pleasure of the greater population of their countryman who seem to want to preserve their country's historical continuity.
Good for them! It's nice to see what a great couple they make and why they're so beloved all over the world. They both seem so down to earth, normal and not so unapproachable as other members of the British royal family.

Glad to see them paddling in the same direction. When they paddle in opposite directions - the honeymoon is over. Ha ha ha. Good luck to them.
