Casey Anthony Book Deal: O.J.-Effect Could Sink Any Chance She Had

With news that Casey Anthony will soon be a free woman, any dreams of making millions of dollars off the tragic death of her young daughter, Caylee, through potential book deals looks very unlikely.
"Publishers have a long memory and after the public outcry that led to the canceled publication of the O.J. Simpson book ['If I Did It'], everyone will think twice before offering Casey a deal," one senior book editor tells me.
One of the nation's largest superstore chains, Borders Group Inc., previously said it would donate any profits from the OJ book to charity, and given the public reaction to the Anthony verdict, many believe a book by Casey would be met with similar reaction.
"Even if she decided to tell the whole truth in the book, which she could because she couldn't be tried again because of double jeopardy, who would want to give their hard earned money to her," an independent publisher tells me.
Judith Regan, the would-be publisher of Simpson's book, did not get back to me to comment, but she did say at the time that Simpson approached her with the idea for the book, which reportedly was sold for $3.5 million. Pre-order sales of the OJ book had been strong, but not sensational. 'If I Did It' cracked the top 20 at Amazon.com but at the time that its cancellation was announced, the book had fallen to No. 51.
"Anyone that touches this book is committing career suicide," a writer tells me about potential Casey tell-alls. "Not to mention, how do you go to sleep at night knowing you are making this young woman rich?"

Exactly. The defense didn't prove the child drowned, but the idiotic jurors bought that threadbare tale, and then took a mental nap for the next 30 days of the trial.
Unfortunately she has not learned anything. How many people would give anything to have a child like Calee. A book would do nothing but promote more lies and make her rich. Rest in peace baby girl.

I book from the Lying Liar Who Lies that is supposed to tell us what "really" happened? Yeah right. If I want fiction, I'll read the newest Stephen King.

Maybe someone should tell Nike the same thing. Sponsoring Michael Vick a convicted Felon. "Don't by Nike" Casey was not convicted. Although a severe personality disorder and believe she should have been convicted of manslaughter not her personality.

And the baby wrapped the tape around her face and jumped in the garbage bags, stick to Jerry Springer, your IQ is giving you away.
That is the problem with our society today. The jury found her not guilty....a bit different than innocent. Why you morons can't follow the letter of the law....so I suppose if you were on the jury, you would have convicted her? Yes sure, and this makes you all better? Two wrongs donot make a right. You all are jealous that unfortunately she stands to make money out of this horrible tragedy.

I might glance through it if I found a copy on the street and the book wasn't too badly soiled...

Spend money on a book of MORE lies...no. I think she should be sterilized before they release her. For those who defend this party monster, let her babysit for YOUR kids since you believe she is innocent. I am sure she has enough duct tape and chloroform to keep your kids busy while she throws a party. You might want to check her truck before she leaves.

I have never been so heartsick as I am with this miss-carriage of justice. I will turn the TV or blot out any images of this horrible person. If I hear of any network or publishing house who pays her fo anything I will call all my angry friends and relatives to write and e-mail that they will be boycotted. She should NEVER profit from Caylee's death.

We all know she killed her daughter, what is there to read her confession? Shame on Hollywood if they make a movie!!!! We have to remember a beautiful little girl lost her life at the hands of her mother and for her to make money is just SICK!!!!

I wouldn't touch anything related to this young woman!!We already know what is important to her, not that gorgeous little girl: buy a book telling the story, I don't think so!!! Or anything else.

Hell no... I wouldn't buy toilet paper with this woman's name on it...
She and OJ should hook up and laugh their way to their graves... American justice with ignorant jurors at its finest.
