Maria Shriver Buys $10 Million Mansion Near Schwarzenegger's Home

Maria Shriver may have wanted out of her marriage with soon-to-be ex-husband, Arnold Schwarzenegger, but she isn't moving far from the couple's formerly shared home. According to TMZ, Shriver is buying a $10 million home in LA's Brentwood.

Shriver's new home will be in the same exclusive community where the former governor's mistress and lovechild have recently been spending time with her estranged husband. The close proximity of Shriver and Schwarzenegger will ensure an easy transition between homes for the couple's two minor children, Christopher and Patrick.

Shriver has reportedly been looking at real estate for the past six months and her current deal on the multi-million dollar pad is reportedly in escrow and should close soon. The $10 million investment is chump change compared to the sum Shriver should be receiving in her divorce settlement from Schwarzenegger.

'The Terminator' is reportedly worth $500-$750 million and has made it clear that he intends to be "very generous" when dividing the couple's wealth. With a new home and a cushy bank account we're sure that Shriver can begin building her new life.

As bad as it is, it's good that Maria is not attempting to aliante their children from their father. Homes close together will facilate joint custody. Arnold may be a lousy husband, but apparently this flaw does not extend to how he relates to his children.

The children are old enough to make up their own minds about their father. I heard that one of his sons changed his last name to Shriver? It still disgusts me what Schwarzenegger did to all of his children. Maria is a beautiful women and I wish her well.

Why should anyone feel "sorry" for her. Lots of men cheat and the Kennedy family has always accepted it as normal even when they knew about it.
