Maria Shriver Buys $10 Million Mansion Near Schwarzenegger's Home

Maria Shriver may have wanted out of her marriage with soon-to-be ex-husband, Arnold Schwarzenegger, but she isn't moving far from the couple's formerly shared home. According to TMZ, Shriver is buying a $10 million home in LA's Brentwood.

Shriver's new home will be in the same exclusive community where the former governor's mistress and lovechild have recently been spending time with her estranged husband. The close proximity of Shriver and Schwarzenegger will ensure an easy transition between homes for the couple's two minor children, Christopher and Patrick.

Shriver has reportedly been looking at real estate for the past six months and her current deal on the multi-million dollar pad is reportedly in escrow and should close soon. The $10 million investment is chump change compared to the sum Shriver should be receiving in her divorce settlement from Schwarzenegger.

'The Terminator' is reportedly worth $500-$750 million and has made it clear that he intends to be "very generous" when dividing the couple's wealth. With a new home and a cushy bank account we're sure that Shriver can begin building her new life.

I continue to be awed by what it means to be a good parent. As a single woman without kids, I know that if I were cheated on me as wantonly as Arnold did to Maria and his family, I would run as far away from him, the house, and the life that I thought we shared. Maria must want so badly to do the same thing, but as a responsible mother and strong woman, she remains near the childrens' father (Arnold). That takes real courage and clarity; her grace is a magnificent model for her kids.

Thats a nice thing to announce with so many people having homes forclosed on, hungry, unemployed and homeless.....I guess if you have it flaunt it and let the many "poor" and struggling in this country know how the other half lives.

Been there done that. He cheated but doenst' mean he doesn't love Maria, Sex with other women is not love just an act of emotion men think they have been given.

Well unlike most of us women, at least Maria has money no matter where it came from. Maybe not being so close to the man who disrespected you not to mention break your heart would work better and maybe not such a flamboient life style even though he and your family afforded it to you. Get back to basics Maria and learn who YOU are.
