'Jerry Springer': We Never Made Monetary Offer to Casey Anthony

After reports began to swirl that 'The Jerry Springer Show' was offering Casey Anthony $1 million to make an appearance with her family, the show's execs are now saying that the supposed monetary offer is completely false.

"There is absolutely no truth to this story whatsoever," 'Jerry Springer' spokesman, Gary Rosen said in a statement. "'The Jerry Spring Show' has not made any monetary offer to Casey Anthony and her family to appear on the program, nor will we."

The rumored appearance would have marked the Tot Mom's first public words following her first degree murder charge acquittal. Original reports detailed that the show presented the offer to Anthony's legal team on Friday morning, an offer that would then be taken to Anthony and her family -- who supposedly had to appear on the show with her in order for the deal to go through.

"The offer was made to Casey's defense team Friday," a now incorrect source told Star magazine. "They are interested. The should would get huge ratings. The family will be presented with the offer shortly."

But even before the alleged appearance was squashed, we had a difficult time believing that the deal would go through if it meant Casey's father, George Anthony had to present. During her trial, Anthony's defense argued that the way she dealt with her daughter, Caylee's death was brought on by her own early childhood molestation, at the hands of her father. Anthony's legal team also made the case that she did not immediately report her daughter's death at the instruction of her father who 'intimidated' her. It is unclear, after Anthony's not guilty verdict shocked people across the nation, whether she will be living with her parents following her July 17 release from jail.

With a potential civil trial still on the table, many believe that making a talk show appearance almost immediately after her criminal trial would have only further cast Anthony as one of America's 'most hated women.' But, at the same time, a million dollar payday may have been exactly what Anthony needed to reclaim her life -- a life that will forever be emblazoned with the scarlet letter of her daughter's still ambiguous death.

But now that the offer has been deemed as a false report, just like Caylee's death, we'll never know what Anthony would have done.

I won't buy or watch anything that profits Casey Anthony! And, if she is thinking of moving to L.A., we don't want her here, we have enough nuts walking the streets!

Oh sure, LA has such upstanding citizens! Casey Anthony can start over in New York. If given a chance she can escape her demons (dad), get help, and turn this nightmare into something productive.

O geez....another NANCY GRACE follower! I along with millions want to hear Casey's side of the story if she ever decides to tell it. Major puzzle pieces are missing regarding this child's death, and absolutely NO ONE has any answers about what happened to Caylee or how she died. EVERYONE IS STILL BAFFLED and if a book can bring us any closer to the truth, I will read it.

This confirms my belief that Jerry Springer's show is nothing but garbge. Only a stupid show would offer this murderer money to apper on their show. Jerry I do believe that if your stupid to have this piece of trash on your show you will lose what viewers you have left. I don't watch our show and now I will never watch your show even if someone paid me money to watch it.

An all out boycott of the sponsor! Through Facebook and Twitter get the word out, any product sold by sponsors on that show will be boycotted.
Write to the sponsor, let them know we do not pay baby abusers.
If she is made a celebrity, there will be more of the same thing.

Unfortunately, the mentality of the Jerry Springer Show is blatantly evident in "boater1959's" post.
The outrage is not simply over not guilty because she didn't kill her child, but I guess it is okay and normal behavior to just dispose of her daughter's body without calling 911 and to try every avenue to save her daughter. @boater1959, you are an idiot.

I suggest no one offer her money. Please write to the Jerry Springer show and announce you will not watch that segment or any other he ever hosts. Call the channel and your local affliate. Picket bookstores or publishing houses if they offer her a 'deal'. Do not allow her to make money off her crimes.
