It looks like things are falling apart at the Jersey Shore. The resident nice guy, Vinny Guadagnino abruptly left the 'Jersey Shore' house on July 1 in the middle of filming, and now it seems that Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino has done the same.
Us Weekly is reporting that Sorrentino has abandoned his costars and decided to head home early. An insider dished, "Mike walked off the show. He's so over the whole thing, I don't think he's coming back. Everyone in the house is so unhappy."
The cast returned from their trip to Italy and began filming their fifth season back where it all began, Seaside Heights, NJ. Something mustn't be clicking for the crew of outrageous characters, Guadagnino apparently left the show after an argument with an unnamed castmate and although it's unknown why The Situation vacated the premises, it looks like the wheels are falling off of this money making machine.
What is the 'Jersey Shore' without The Situation?

I still find it hard to believe this show has made it so long. I tried to watch it once, I made it through about 3 minutes and 2 of those minutes were a direct result of looking for the remote. If I want to watch a show full of douche bags I can count on MTV.

Lmfao :o) U R So right about this show. Considering the family oriented programming on MTV, I'm almost inclined to watch BRAVO TV.
Don't care how trashy they are, they entertain the heck out of me and my husband. And Mike is one of the trashiest so it will suck without him.

if there is any truth to the rumors that they really are leaving then this is only in protest of MTV re-casting the show rumors. so the stars are messing up filming & showing by leaving youll see ratings drop when certain castmates in the show.

Crap has been washing up on the Jersey shore for years. Why should this even been news?

let's see: what else can these clowns do but hang around a house all day until it's time to go clubbing?

Well, the cast probably enjoyed Italy during the fourth season.
However, when they returned back to the place they were, some grew tired of it.
I do not blame them. If I was at the same job, doing the same crap, and being around the same people, I would want to move forward with something else in my life.
Vinny and the Situation were tired of it and so am I. I don't blame them one bit.

What is the Jersey Shore without him? The same idiotic show that it was with him. That show is so fake.

Someones trying to make it sound, like some of these kids are walking off the set. Good try, no one walks off of their high paying job like this, these kids are being let go.

2 down - how many more to go?

I think that there are too many New Jersey based reality shows on TV at this moment and maybe Mike didn't want Jersey Shore to be lumped up against those shows, so he walked off. People get a little fatigued about the overload of those Jersey based shows at times.
