William and Kate Dazzle in L.A. (Photos)

After months of waiting, Prince William and Kate Middleton finally arrived stateside on Friday and certainly brought their photogenic charm with them.

The Royal Couple spent their first night in Los Angeles attending Variety's Venture Capital and New Media Summit at The Beverly Hilton hotel, according to E! Online.

Middleton, always one to dazzle in the latest fashions, fittingly chose to wear a 'Maja' green dress by American designer Diane Von Furstenberg for the occasion.

At the technology and media-focued event, William and Kate mingled with guests, including British Ambassador Sir Nigel Sheinwald, California Governor Jerry Brown and pal David Beckham (who's expecting a new baby any day now).

Up next for the couple on the their whirlwind California trip? William will play in a charity polo match at the Santa Barbara Polo Club to benefit the American Friends of the Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry before the couple heads to a black-tie affair held by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Saturday night.

from the photos, it looks like she might have forward neck posture. if so, she should see a chiropractor about that before it causes her problems later in life.

Please go home. We fought a war, actually two wars to rid ourselves of your influence. I read these stories about the visiting royals and can't figure out what any of this nonsense means. As far as I can tell it's all a pr campaign to keep the royal family legitimate to a current public. Oh and it seems like a big fashion show for the new princess.

How can any true republic loving American swoon over these people and their self serving charity group, The American Friends of the Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry. Now exactly what does that mean and what can anyone of you name quickly what is is that this charity does??????????? nah. didn't think you knew.

Had enough. Go to some other part of the fallen British Empire. We kicked you out a long time ago.

I've wondered, too, why she is so often referred to as Kate Middleton now that she's married. She should be Princess Kate or Duchess Kate - used to be Princess Diana. She looks like she's anorexic - WAY too thin.

ok, so why do people still pay for a "family" to put on a disguise in front of the world exactly??????THese two and the "royals" do nothing except behave worst than you or I ever did (take a gander at their past or the other family in view now) and now frolic around putting on a disguise. The intelligent just don't get this at all. As far as I am concerned these two are a joke and will be as king and wife/queen as well. They don't seem intelligent enouph or have enoupg work experience to actually make some changes in the world....charities are great and all....but is that all they do or know about despite smiling and shaking hands????

I seem to remember reading awhile back that Queen Elizabeth II added the Mountbatten name to Windsor, but it wasn't to be added to the then current family members. Not sure if this applies to William.

Va-Voom! now theres' a fine looking princess!

She is gorgeous, some well needed new genetic material for the Windsor pool. All I could think of in the one shot was what a pain it can be on a lawn in heels.

To "Laura"...and here YOU are....a drooling fan, slobbering over every move of these two do-nothings...keep drooling "Laura"...you deserve it.
