'Idol' Doesn't Have Bleep Button Big Enough for Stern

By Kara Warner  Posted Feb 9th 2010 04:50PM
While we were shocked when Simon Cowell announced his 'American Idol' departure, we were not prepared for Howard Stern to throw his hat in the ring to be considered for Cowell's old gig. At first, we thought Stern might be joking about his 'Idol' interest, but after bringing it up on his show two days in a row, it's time to consider the pros and cons of a Stern/'Idol' pairing. Entertainment Weekly Senior Writer and resident 'Idol' expert Michael Slezak likens Stern on 'Idol' to combining chocolate with cheeseburgers. "They're two great tastes," Slezak tells PopEater. "But I don't necessarily know you'd want them together. They're very popular, but I think there's a reason McDonald's has never offered a chocolate-dipped cheeseburger. I think Howard Stern and 'American Idol' are pretty much a chocolate cheeseburger." Can America handle a chocolate, Stern/'Idol' cheeseburger? Vote after the jump.

Snooki, The Situation and the rest of the gang will head to Florida for round two of their gym, tanning and laundry sessions, at the bargain price of $10,000 each an episode.

Before producers settled on Miami, speculation of where the cast would end up included summer hot spot the Hamptons, on Long Island, among other destinations.

Which Hair Is the Best on Kate Gosselin? Her Vintage Look, of Course

By PopEater Staff  Posted Feb 9th 2010 03:28PM
Kate GosselinKate Gosselin is somewhat of a hair icon. Love it or hate it -- you can buy a wig of her hair, wear it and be instantly recognized, which in our mind, makes it iconic.

However, she's recently gone through a hair evolution of sorts. She added extensions to her short and choppy 'do, giving her long, wavy locks. "I never thought I'd have short hair for as long as I did. I feel like this is a fresh start, a fresh me, a fresh life," she told PEOPLE of her new style.

More recently, however, she chopped some of the extensions off, giving her a more edgy appearance while keeping her tresses longer than the style that, until recently, was her signature look.

But which style is the favorite among PopEater readers? After over 49K votes were cast, the clear winner -- with 41 percent overall -- was the original Kate.

'American Chopper' Runs Out Of Gas

By Jo Piazza  Posted Feb 9th 2010 03:06PM
It all began with a father, his sons and a love of choppers (custom-designed motorcycles). Now, after six seasons, TLC is closing shop on the much beloved 'American Chopper,' the reality show that chronicled the real-life drama of Paul Teutul Sr. and his sons, Paul Jr. and Mikey, as they built bikes and a business.

No one knows the toll a reality television show takes on a family better than TLC, which watched as the marriage of Jon and Kate Gosselin disintegrated before their cameras last year. It's been tough going for the family behind 'Orange County Choppers,' which means maybe it was time to end the show. America only has so much of an appetite for family drama before it starts to get uncomfortable.
