(Sept. 5) -- Sarah Palin not only won over the hockey moms with her Republican National convention speech -- she won over the tabloid reading crowd. Subscribers of Us Weekly, who somehow are not yet familiar with the tabloid's record of taste and accuracy, are canceling their subscriptions en masse after this week's Sarah Palin cover story with the blaring headline "Babies, Lies & Scandal."
MSNBC's Scoop is reporting that the magazine "is said to have lost thousands of subscribers in just the first 24 hours following the printing of the issue." A well-placed industry source told MSNBC that he or she is "hearing it's 5,000, maybe more" cancellations, while another said it may be closer to 10,000.

A spokesperson for Wenner Media, who publishes Us, said "it is completely false that we are losing 10,000 subscribers," and also denied the 5,000 cancellation rumor.
What US likely didn't expect was a complete 180 by Palin and the McCain campaign. "When Us went to print Monday night, it looked like the ticket was falling apart," an unnamed magazine editor said. "They went to print thinking Palin was dead in the water."

Here is the deal for all of you who do not know nothing about this issue of him being born in a Military Base in Panama. I know because I have lived there and been in the Bases when they were there. Now, any American citizen born outside of the US where the country has dual citizenship is a dual citizen. But he does need to renounce the citizenship of the other country and choose the US. Now those laws were passed after McCain was imprissioned and nursing the injuries of his crash under the brutal Vietnamies camp. So in this case there is no issue. Lets talk about unemployment which is 6.1 % today. and This administration which includes McCain have been partisan in this economic debacle. Forget Pailins daugther, forget were McCain was born look at your pocikets tell me were are you really going with more of the same

Phatbway....OK, one more time for the idiot on the message boards. McCain was born on a military base in Panama. It doesn't mean he isn't a natural born citizen. His father was in the military. He is as American as anyone born here. KNOCK IT OFF!!! These asinine attacks will not win this election for Obama.

S Palin is fair game. if she can't take the heat, step out of the kitchen. Obama has been in the kitchen for nearly 2 yrs. and takes everything including the kitchen sink, being thrown at him. If you Reps can't do better than Palin, you have lost the battle. she is going to be put to the test like Obama has been put. let's see how long she holds on! oh, and stop cryin, you Republican whiners she is going to be put through the fire and get burned.

Yeah, why would I vote for Racist McHate/Palin? her daughter was raped and she does not care, she will not care for countless teens who go through the same issues her daughter is facing with this dude who raped her. We don't need/want anymore of this Bushit Mchate capitalist- slavery-mentality that keeps down the middle class. Mchate is bent on revenge and will sink this country further down than it is already. VOTE Obama/Biden and lets change the course of this nation one more time. All you racist white folks been in power too long and have failed the whole world with your greed, hate, murder, lust, jealousy, anger, YOU HAVE FAILED AND IS ON YOUR LAST STAND! YOU FEAR OBAMA AND HE IS GOING TO STOP ALL THIS MESS.
