Why They're About to Pop: This Florida five-piece was born from the creativity of Ryan Kirkland and brothers Josh and Jeremy Butler back in 2005. They soon built a solid following in their area, playing clubs and perfecting their songwriting. They later added keyboardist Wes Anderson and guitarist Brad Kriebel to round out the sound of their debut album, 'The Story and the Song,' which was originally released on indie label Bonded Records. Between the Trees' buzz grew stronger, attracting Universal Records to give them a major label recording contract. You can check out the band's pop hooks and lyrical sensibility all summer on this year's 2008 Warped Tour.

Busta Rhymes and Linkin Park's Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda recently hooked up in L.A. to film a video for 'We Made It,' the first single from Busta's forthcoming album, 'Blessed,' and a song that, in the words of Shinoda, "celebrates success and overcoming obstacles." Shinoda also tells Popeater that the collaboration has been a long time coming.
"We originally met Busta in New York, when we were mixing 'Hybrid Theory," he recalls. "We had never had an album out and we were a little star struck at the time. Last year, Busta got in touch with me, saying he had a track he thought we could work together on. My band usually doesn't do 'features' on anyone else's stuff, but I gave it a listen. Needless to say, we liked it quite a bit and got involved. We were on the road non-stop the whole time, so Chester and I ended up booking studio time in Taiwan."
Busta is returning the love as he'll jump on selected dates of LP's Projekt Revolution tour this summer. Any chance of recreating 'We Made It' live? "You never know!" Shinoda says. "The tour is going to be amazing, and a collabo with Busta, if we cross paths, would definitely be a highlight."
Why They're About to Pop: This Floridian four-piece has gone through several lineup changes in its six years as a band. Fans have known From First to Last as fronted by Sonny Moore, but after the lead singer left the group in early 2007, guitarist Matt Good assumed the role. "We knew that if we brought someone completely new into the band at this point it would definitely be the wrong thing to do," Good says. "I've been singing backup this whole time, and though that's not the same thing, you still have to sound good. Plus, it's something I've wanted to do for a long time."
FFTL is now ready to present their self-titled Suretone Records debut to the world, beginning with their first rockin' single, 'Worlds Away.' Catch the band live on their headlining tour beginning May 1, or on the entirety of the Warped Tour this summer.

Who knew Fred Durst had a sensitive side? When singer-songwriter Ferras stopped by our Sessions studio and explained how the Limp Bizkit frontman helped jumpstart his career, we were a bit surprised.
"I got a call from Fred Durst and he asked, 'Can you come out and play live for me? I really dig your stuff,'" the 25-year-old musician tells PopEater. "So I met Fred -- an amazing, awesome guy -- and he was like, 'I'm signing you,' and he spent the next two years really trying to find the right home for me in terms of a record label."
Find out what captured Durst's attention by checking out Ferras' intimate Sessions performance, where he sings tracks off his debut album, including the 'American Idol' hit 'Hollywood's Not America.'
