'American Idol' is giving back to the community by putting your favorite contestants on postage stamps. Each Thursday, Ryan Seacrest announces which former winner graces the next 'American Idol Gives Back' stamp, but we have your exclusive sneak peek right here every Tuesday.
This week's stamp will be (drum roll please!) Season Five winner,
Taylor Hicks. The limited-edition stamps already revealed include
Kelly Clarkson,
Fantasia,
Carrie Underwood and
Ruben Studdard. New photo stamps will be released each week featuring an 'Idol' winner until this season's finale, after which the new winner will get his or her own stamp.
The stamps, which can be used for actual postage, all benefit 'Idol Gives Back,' a program helping the less fortunate around the world. For each stamp purchased, $10 is given to the charity. Only 2,000 stamps will be printed for each winner in each of the 50 states, so the stamps will likely dramatically increase in value. You can purchase them at
www.photostamps.com. See pictures of the postage after the jump.

After months of soap-opera-like drama,
Britney Spears will get another chance to flex her acting muscles when she returns to the small screen in an
upcoming episode of the hit comedy 'How I Met Your Mother.'
The pop princess, whose only previous sitcom experience was a cameo as a Christian talk-show host on a 2006 episode of ' Will & Grace,' will play Abby, a dorky receptionist, in an episode set to air on March 24.
"Everyone, including the cast, the crew and the producers, has been wonderful and Abby is such a fun girl to play," Spears said in a statement. "I'm having a blast!"
In other Spears news, the singer's new video for 'Break the Ice,' the third single off 2007's Blackout, will make its online debut tonight on www.blackoutball.com. The video, which was made in South Korea, features a Japanese anime version of the singer in a futuristic world.

Paula Abdul is working on her first new album in more than 13 years. The 'American Idol' judge is revisiting her pop-star past, returning to the studio with a horde of producers to record new music and to re-record a number of her smash hits from the '80s.
"It was really nice being able to have no one expecting anything," she told Rolling Stone about the process of recording incognito. "No one knew that this was coming, it just kind of crept up from behind, and it was nice not having to feel the pressure of a time constraint."
Although Abdul maintains that the album is still in its preliminary stages, the first single is expected in early June. She has already given fans a taste of her musical comeback with the song, 'Dance Like There's No Tomorrow,' which premiered during the Super Bowl pre-show.
Despite her chronic pain condition, Abdul is not dismissing the idea of a tour to support the new album. She'll be reaching into the dark corners of her closet for her dance shoes as she announces plans to not only assist with the show's staging and visual aspects, but with choreography as well.
"I'm very particular about how I want to approach touring," she said. "I want to do something that's very different and that really kind of embraces all that I do."

Earlier this week, '
One Tree Hill' introduced the character of Mia, a shy singer-songwriter signed to a record contract by Hilarie Burton's Peyton Sawyer. As the girl behind Mia, Cleveland-based singer-songwriter Kate Voegele tells Popeater, there is a lot of Mia she could empathize with. "The show has this whole element of art imitating life and I think it's totally true," Voegele says. "When I was 15, I was terrified and I didn't think that I had any shot at being a singer-songwriter. I was like, 'Oh my god, everyone's gonna think I'm weird that I play guitar and write music.' And that's totally how Mia starts out. She's just really shy and quiet, and she just sort of evolves slowly. I had to kind of tap into that and remember what it was like to be that girl."
Now 21, and having opened for the likes of
John Mayer and
Counting Crows, Voegele -- whose debut album, 'Don't Look Away,' is out now -- admits to being past the point of nerves. "Nothing really makes me super nervous or intimidated," she says. "I pretty much go into everything like, 'Here I am. If this works out, cool. If it doesn't, then fine.'"

A representative for
Miley Cyrus has confirmed that the 'Hannah Montana' star does indeed use a body double on stage. "To help speed the transition from Hannah to Miley, there is a production element during the performance of 'We Got the Party' incorporating a body double for Miley," Cyrus' rep said in a statement.
The rep explains that during a song with the
Jonas Brothers, "a body double appears approximately one to two minutes prior to the end of the song in order to allow Miley to remove the Hannah wig and costume and transform into Miley for her solo set."
"Miley performs live during the entirety of both the Hannah and Miley segments of the concert," the rep maintains.
Earlier this week, many fans were outraged by the prospect of an alternate "Miley." One angry concert-goer said: "Needless to say I was furious! I paid good money to see the concert. I was disappointed, and I felt like I was played for a fool."

Not everything '
American Idol' touches turns to gold. Earlier this week, two 'Idol' winners -- Season Five's
Taylor Hicks and Season Two's
Ruben Studdard -- were dropped from their record labels, both part of the Sony/BMG family. Just three days later and Season Five runner-up
Katharine McPhee has been axed by her label, RCA, following marginal sales of her 2007 self-titled debut.
It's not all fodder for tragedy, however. McPhee enjoyed her share of success with her album debuting at No. 2, as well as being named among the 100 Most Beautiful People of 2007 by PEOPLE, and showing up on both Maxim and FHM's "hot chicks" charts.
While she may be out of a record contract, McPhee has plans to marry Broadway actor Nick Cokas this year. In addition, she'll make her silver-screen debut in

Since
Britney Spears' 16-year-old sister,
Jamie Lynn, announced in December that she was expecting a baby with her long-term boyfriend Casey Aldridge, many have questioned the fate of her Nickelodeon show, '
Zoey 101.' Question no more. It was announced Friday that the fourth season of the hit tween show will be the final season.
"For now it looks like it has been canned," a
source at the show said. 'Zoey 101,' a story about a young girl who enrolls in a typically all-male school, is aimed at children ages 9-14. TV sources are worried that airing the season will send the wrong message to children.
