"If you are in the public eye and you are a certain type of persona, you're putting certain ideas out there you're bound to have people look up to them. Donny Osmond was declared the new champion of 'Dancing With The Stars' on Tuesday night, taking home the show's mirror ball trophy in the season finale of the ABC contest reality program. Osmond, the former teen pop star of the singing Osmond family, said the show has been a highlight in a career of ups and downs. "I did it!" Osmond exclaimed. He promptly rushed to the audience and plucked out his wife, Debbie, whom he carried across the stage. Helping push Osmond over the top was his performance Tuesday: an Argentine tango, performed with his professional dancing partner, Kym Johnson. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba hailed it as "artistry in motion." It earned the top score of the final performances Tuesday.

Former 'American Idol' contestants Blake Lewis and Anoop Desai are coming to Adam Lambert's defense after his controversial AMA performance, which subsequently got him booted from ABC's 'Good Morning America.' Season 6 runner-up Lewis tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively, "Adam Lambert isn't too controversial. 'Good Morning America' could have had an amazing interview with a talented, humble entertainer and shot him down. Their loss."

Shane West, who played Dr. Ray Barnett on NBC's 'ER,' needed some patching up when he tripped and fell on his face in his own backyard after having a few drinks, RadarOnline.com exclusively reports. After partying at Boulevard3 in Los Angeles where he watched Katy Perry perform, the actor and some of his pals decided to take the party back to his house. There he fell over, landing right on his face. The faceplant left him black and blue and cut up in the middle of last week.

Although back from the hospital, Nicole Richie says she's still laid up at home after a bout with pneumonia. "Right now it's important for me to stay in bed and recover," Richie, 28, wrote on her blog Tuesday. "Reading all of your messages on Twitter and my website has really brightened my spirits and I am so grateful for the support. I look forward to seeing you all very soon and wish you a happy Thanksgiving."
