Contrary to popular belief, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner didn't meet on the set of Daredevil, while he was still part of a different Bennifer. They met in 2001 while shooting Pearl Harbor. But sparks didn't fly until two years later. The tabloid monster that was his relationship with Jennifer Lopez was on the skids, and the low-key, humble Garner was what Affleck needed to dig himself out of the media scrutiny that threatened to crush him.

They became official months later, and a year after Bennifer was no more, the private couple tied the knot in 2005 on a Caribbean resort on the island of Turks and Caicos. Ben popped the question on Jennifer’s 33rd birthday while she was pregnant with their first daughter, Violet. In 2009, Ben and Jennifer added the latest member of their family, Sepharina, to their brood.
 
Affleck and Garner don’t make the headlines like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie do, but that’s the way they like it. Other than dealing with Jennifer’s stalker problems in 2009, Ben and Jennifer have been a model of celebrity couple normalcy.
