Award-winning composer Marc Shaiman has won a Tony for his work on Broadway, but he's working a slightly different venue this week. Funny or Die just posted an exclusive Internet-only video written by Shaiman called Prop 8 - The Musical.     'Dark Knight' Already Year's Best-Selling iTunes Movie

    'Lost' Won't Get Big-Screen Finale
    Though ending a TV series with a feature film seems to be the fashionable thing to do these days, the creators of 'Lost' insist they won't cheat their audience by taking that route, saying that "the show should definitively end the same place it started ... on television."     Depp Books 'Hand of Dante'
    Johnny Depp will produce and likely star in the adaptation of Nick Tosches' novel 'In the Hand of Dante,' according to Variety. The book features parallel storylines: one set in the 14th century in which Dante works on 'The Divine Comedy,' and one in modern times in which Tosches (Depp) is asked to authenticate Dante's original script. (Dec. 3)

    Polanski Files to Dismiss Sex Charges
    Director Roman Polanski, a fugitive from the U.S. for 31 years due to a notorious sex case involving a 13-year-old girl, is seeking to have charges against him dismissed, citing new evidence that came to light in a recent documentary about his travails.     'Rachel' Scores Six Spirit Award Nominations
    'Rachel Getting Married,' 'Frozen River' and 'Ballast' earned six nominations each -- including nods for best feature and best lead actress (Anne Hathaway, Melissa Leo and Tarra Riggs, respectively) -- at the 24th Annual Spirit Awards, which honor the best independent films.     LaBeouf to Be 'The Associate'
    Shia LaBeouf is set to star in the movie adaptation of John Grisham's upcoming legal thriller 'The Associate,' Variety reports. The book, which will be published in January, revolves around a Yale Law student (LaBeouf) who's manipulated into taking a job at a prestige law firm and given privileged information about a multibillion-dollar lawsuit. (Dec. 2)

    'Kung Fu Panda' Leads Annie Noms
    'Kung Fu Panda' roundhouse-kicked it's animated competition, scoring a whopping 17 Annie nominations. With more nominations than top competitors 'Wall*E,' 'Bolt' and 'Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa,' 'Panda' now seems the favorite for the Best Animated Feature Oscar. The winners of the Annies, which honor excellence in animated motion pictures, will be announced on Jan. 30.See the full list of nominees on Variety. (Dec. 2)

    Crowe WILL Play Two Roles in 'Nottingham'
    Turns out rumors that Russell Crowe will play both the Sheriff of Nottingham and his arch nemesis Robin Hood in Ridley Scott's 'Nottingham' are (kind of) true. Producer Brian Grazer tells MTV.com that Crowe's Robin Hood will assume the identity of Nottingham when (spoiler alert!) the villainous Sheriff bites the big one in an early battle scene. (Dec. 2)

Winslet Talks About Sex With Leo, Again

Kate Winslet continues to use the press as her analyst when trying to work through that sex scene with Leonardo DiCaprio in 'Revolutionary Road,' creepily directed by husband Sam Mendes. Both she and Mendes have described it as "weird," and Winslet says she "had a total meltdown." Curiously, one person was cool with it: "Leo was remarkably fine with the whole thing," the actress reveals.
