If you wanna complain about the environment in a jail then you probably shoulda thought about what you were doing wrong that got you there before doing it. Don't break the law and sit in jail and complain. It's your fault you're there!

The Govt Shoulld put him in a Five star hotel like the St. Regis in manhattan with a $500 food allowance daily. He will get his linen changes daily and if that is not enough he will get access to Cable TV and Computer. The Govt should also throw in a Spa Visit twice weekly.

Someone here said it right. If the prisoners made the mess, clean it up themselves. I pay enough taxes that I am not paying more to make it nicer for them. It's JAIL for goodness sakes.

To those who were offended at my comments. let me assure you I have no pity for Mr. R, I never have been a Liberal, I love my God, My Country and My Flag. I respect and honor the officers and personnel who have much to put up with in the enviroments they have to work within. My comments were for our prisons and prisoners themselves, not Mr. R who I'm sure is accustomed to a much more grandious living style. My comments were of a very personal nature, in thinking of someone else who is very close to me in a similar situation

I predicted another assasination back when O bama started giving Hillary a close run. But he was my second choice behind Hillary. Anybody but McCain. There is no way he can be worse than Bush. The assasinaters waited too long; they should have done their thing 8 years ago. LOL If things get worse they should just turn the weopons on the citizens and put us out of our misery.

Kindnruls your right we need to treat these "people" with kit gloves. Rikers isn't a rehabiltion center it is a jail make no mistake about that. They have to Care Custody and Control there, it's up to the Social workers to do their jobs but in the mean time it's my husbands job to keep them safe from themsleves and other inmates, and when do these inmates decide they want to live like a human or an animal isn't up to the jail system. I have a solution we can raise taxes and use the money to get more social workers to help thembecome better citizens. They chose to come back into the system, no matter how many social workers try to help them

There is no excuse for forcing unsanitary/inhumane conditions on human beings we imprison.Prison is it's own punishment, and what ever happened to the idea that most people who "pay their debt" to society, should have the opportunity to become better citizens during their incarceration? The medievil attitude toward those we imprison represented here, only seves to make them hateful toward the society, and more dangerous once their time is served. If you spend years of someone's life, convincing them they are an animal, and treating them worse than you are allowed, by that very same society, to treat an animal......exactly what do you think will be released back into our midst? Also, realize that America now leads the world in the number of it's citizens imprisoned, and most are for non violent crime. ONE in SIX American's will be incarcerated at some point in their lives.....so when it is YOUR turn, and you wind up in one of our prisons for some stupid traffic offense or smokin...

For 2 months of what he was paying for his ritzy apartment, I could've paid off my house. He's a spoiled brat. If the place is such a mess, he and the other CRIMINALS should clean it up. They got themselves there.
