The country's Crown Prosecution Service says there is insufficient evidence to afford a "realistic prospect of conviction" and has ordered the police not to take any further action.
British media had reported that Bale's mother and sister told police he assaulted them at the hotel a day before he attended the European premiere of his film "The Dark Knight."
Bale denies the allegation.

Director Roman Polanski, who fled the U.S. in 1978 after pleading guilty to having sex with a 13-year-old girl, is asking that the charges against him be dropped. The 'Pianist' director cites prosecutorial and judicial misconduct as the reason for his request.

They need to go get a job and stop trying to rob their son/brother. He grew up with his father upon his parents divorce, how is he obligated to this sister or mother?

At least somebodys' court recognize gold diggers when they see 'em. Just because your family doesn't mean you owe them anything. Good for that court and thier decision.

Hes a self made man, why would he do that to his mother, its obvious that he's career is on its peak the last movie I saw him in was in REIGN OF FIRE or was it AMERICAN PYHCO?? , and instead of his family being happy for him, THEIR JEALOUS. Needing money? Well, he shouldn t be obligated to give them his earnings.

He was accused of assault after refusing to give his sister nearly a quarter of a million dollars. Coincidence? Being wealthy doesn't make you the family bank.
