Lighten up Francis, we don't know all the particulars, ..i.e. no one behind him , no one in front of him with good view, ..so on and so on, One isolated time I hit 150mph with no one around and by the time I slowed to 106 mph, it felt like nothing, ..Live and Let Live

Please, I'm not saying it is okay to be speeding but this is not news. How many of us have speeded early in the a.m. when no other traffic is about? Some got caught, some did not. If he wasn't an actor of some fame, we wouldn't know about this. Obviously, he wasn't intoxicated because had he been, it would have definitely been mentioned. I am so glad I am not a celebrity. They don't have the luxury of doing dumb stupid things and they go unnoticed.

meter readers issuing tickets to enrich there communities bottom line revenue. I guess there are no criminals in vermont , that need the attention of these cops sitting or hiding along the highway. what a waste of are tax dollars.they should be arresting the bankers ,politicians wall street clowns etc.etc.

I'm sure he was not used to be on an highway with no other traffic and thought it would be fun. He's lucky it was a cop that stopped him and not a moose or a deer! To the people complaining that they stop out of state cars on 91- you are right , but its not random. They watch the plates and people because That is where most of the drugs come into the state. I hope they keep it up!

It doesn't matter whether he's an idiot in Hollywood or Vermont. His lack of respect for others can and does cost lives every day. If he can't follow the law he shouldn't be driving. Taking someone else's life is a high price when you don't have control of your own.

Wow - with Ben & Jerry's, civil unions, Howard Dean and now this, Vermont might actually be a state people think about!

He'll pay a fine and go about his life, and a no-name town will be semi-famous for a week. If that. The guy is a hell of an actor, and that is the only reason he is here for your blogging pleasure. I think it is awesome that he still has his faculties about him, and for those idiots that keep talking about alcohol--if there were alcohol, it'd be all over the place--just like Charles Barkley! Hey! How many US Soldiers died today? Don't know? Why not? Cuz the main story is about a successful actor who was exceeding the speed limit. Give me a freaking break!
