Requiem, you're only half right. Every time you have a conversation with someone you are getting therapy. Paying for it ensures you have the option of choosing someone both more learned and more experienced than yourself who can give feedback and insight from a place of neutrality. Most people who rant against psychotherapy are clueless as to what it actually consists of.
