I adore Gary Oldman. Not crazy about his politics, but I think he's one of the most talented actors alive today. Best Dracula EVER on screen, terrific work as Commissioner Gordon (I mean, think about it: an actor has to be really good to make Commissioner Gordon interesting), and he was beyond phenomenal in JFK, creating a fully realized and compelling Lee Harvey Oswald through mere clippings of flashbacks. I wish him every happiness with his new bride.

AND I MIGHT ADD...Took the 17 girl friend of her youngest son for an abortion and tried to convince me to let her and her miscreant son live her together because she'd been kicked out of her house. Told me when she moved out that she'd have no problem finding someone else; she estimated that she met over 300 MEN through dating personals. I had the state police come looking for her son who had warrant for assault with a dangerous weapon, plus previous arrests for underage DUI, cocaine and marijuana possession. They never changed the address and my insurance company was going to drop my coverage. I had to hunt them down to make sure it was changed. He kid got a reduced sentence because she knew the judge, and his attorney was the judge's cousin. The attorney charged her an unbelievably low fee. WHen her former husband found out (the first one), he asked her "What? How did you get that? Are you f**king him?"

This story reminds me of my former fiance, whom I'll call "JANE" from the mitten state. Here's what JANE eventually devulged well into our relationship. She was positive for type 2 herpes, had been sued for nondisclosure, was married four times (but 2 "didn't count"), had a tryst with a female coworker while I was out of town and emailed men and women insex chat rooms while I was asleep (I've got the emails) She bought beer and cigarettes for her 2 underage boys even though she was a COURT employee. SHe didn't have a dime to her name but she wanted me to sell my house because I lived here with my former wife. I lost thousands of dollars renovating the house. You know where she is now? LIVING WITH A CONSERVATIVE, WEALTHY ATTORNEY WHO IS 9 YEARS HER SENIOR, IN THE HOUSE WHERE HE LIVED WITH HIS FORMER WIFE.

Personally, I think anyone who marries four times is not rowing with both oars in the water. I like Gary Oldman as an actor, but his personal life sounds chaotic. Maybe he should try living alone, as it sounds like he wasn't meant to be married - living alone is not all bad, and think of the money he could have saved in lawyer's fees alone!

Geez, some of you are acting like he's 100 years old or something and there's nothing she could possibly see in him other than money- 50 is hardly ancient these days, he's still a good-looking guy and nineteen years isn't a huge age difference if you have stuff in common. Maybe he's actually learned from his past relationships and it will work out.

It's just a ceremony but it can be as addictive as any other happy feeling. I think I'd be a little worried if a person I liked had been married numerous times. In excess of two or more times would be suspect. Over the years I could have remarried many times, but once was enough for me, I think. Send me an old world 40-50 year old Asian beauty and I could change my mind.....
