Michael Crichton was and is a genius. Who else could have retold the story of Beowulf, imagined the possibility of ressurecting the dinosaurs fictionally, and wrote countless other beautiful and scary books all based on science and medicine; and most importantly actual historical facts? My heart is heavy for his loss, and my mind will miss his prose... and his amazing stories. Rest in peace, and thank you for your words.

Type your own comment hereBAME1215 10:37 PMNov 06 2008 The article incorrectly states that Michael Crichton wrote "Coma." That was written by Robin Cook. The confusion probably was that they are both doctors turned authors. Where in the article does it say this, I have reread it half a dozen times and have found no mention of "coma"

Yes, the world will certainly miss him. He was one of my favorite authors. But, please, will the person who writes these articles do a little research first. Robin Cook wrote "Coma". Michael Crichton directed the movie. RIP Dr Crichton.
