I find it fascinating that one can buy this legal product (designed for consumption),but at some point,the consumption act becomes illegal;and only a trained operator with a million dollar machine can tell when one becomes illegal. Banning this product (alcohol) has been tried,but billions of lost tax revenue resulted. Now,billions of fine revenue will be lost if a life saving solution is offered,such as putting a $2 chip into the car's computer circuit to post a random series of numbers/letters that must be read within 30 seconds,before car will crank. But,this will lose billions in fines,but save millions of lives......go gigure.

After losing my 18 year old niece a year ago due to someone driving who only had a couple of beers I say throw him in jail and lose the key-actor or not the law is the law.

I'll tell ya. after moving to florida these cops are thugs and thieves when it comes to DUIS and altthough Rip may have been arrested up north, I say go for it Rip make them prove it and dont get a crappy ass public defender or. your ass wiill get ripped and torn....GO RIP

geez his name suits him doesn't it? Seems he gets ripped all the time. Maybe Heather Locklear's attorney has some free time since she got off with community service-too bad he's not as pretty-may be a little harder for him.

Is the sorry drunk 71 or 77? The link says "71 year-old" but the article says "77 year-old". I think the people who fact check these articles must be drunk off their asses. In any event, he failed part of the sobriety test and he refused to take a breathalizer. Fine him and throw his sorry ass in jail. Drunk drivers kill too many innocent people!!!
