Penn is one of the worst actors I have ever seen. His face has this look of intensity and pain ALL the time. It never changes. If someone doesn't give him a laxative soon he is going to have a heart attack.

Dying for ones rights has been the American story, starting with the Revolution, to the Coal wars of West Virginia, to the Civil rights movement of the sixties and the Gay rights movment of today. If we continue allowing the George Bush fascist Republicans to erode the Constitution... another Civil War will be the future of this country... as there will be no civility left.

I know all about the Harvey Milk story. There was an excellent documentary made about this called "The Times Of Harvey Milk", which won an Oscar in 1984. Penn looks great in this movie but Josh Brolin, I swear, is the spitting image of Dan White, who assassinated Milk and Mayor George Mascone. When I was going to college at the time, me and my friends were all discussing White's so-called "Twinkie Defense". Remember that? His lawyer claimed that he was depressed after consuming a large amount of junk food. Fortunately, the Supreme Court ruled that as invalid.

penn is a great actor, his brother chris, was too. I liked Sean in WoodyAllen's "Sweet and Lowdown". Alot of other memorable roles.I don't mind alot of his political activism: some of it is annoying.He DID help alot of people post Katrina, more than any poster here,i'm sure. Guns were necessary throughout that incident. His trip to Iraq was a fiasco though. For that one he should have tocatch a beatin' behind the barn from Nick Nolte.
