i think it absolutely ludicrous that the media shows these movie stars and other sundry celebrities that have babies and in record time have their figures completely restored to them in record time i say this because most of these celebrities have unlimited amounts of money to buy them doctors trainers gyms dieticians personal chefs if the average lady had these luxuries they could do the same

To all that brag about losing post baby weight in 4 - 6 weeks because you ate healthy & maintained... well good for you...you are the lucky ones. I was healthy, followed docs orders to a T and still did not lose all the weight right away. The bottom line is we are all built differently and most importantly to do what is best to have a healthy child. Don't judge just because things were a certain way for you. We are not all created equally...believe it or not.

Catroina2, you don't have to gain a huge amount of weight when pregnant that takes a year and a half to lose. I have 2 boys, one born naturally and one c-section. I was back to my normal weight in less than a month both times. Both kids are perfectly healthy and full term. I am not a movie star, I don't have a personal trainer. I know how to control myself and not eat everything in sight. As a matter of fact, doctors tell you how much weight you should gain and warn against gaining too much. I gained just what they told me. You asked how do you expect to stay healthy by losing the pregnance weight that fast, well, I did and I am healthy!

Kserate21 02:38 PMJan 13 2009 I always bounce back to my pre-pregnancy body. It just takes me about a year and a half. Late is better than never.and at least you and others realize your body "accomodated" and provided for this and in plain english muscles, skin etc were stressed and "recovery" takes time. Took 9 months to attain that size so how can anyone realistically expect to simply SHRINK back in one month and stay healthy ?we don't have the luxury of baby sitters, trainers, gyms and dieticians.

These women have a monetary reason to "bounce" back quickly. There are few of us whose lively hood is based on being thin. Am I jealous? Of course not. If I had a movie in the works where my salary was in the millions of dollars, it would be a HUGE incentive to get back to pre-baby weight fast.

I lost 25lbs two weeks after I gave birth and a month after I gave birth I am smaller than I was prior to giving birth. It's all about taking care of your body while you are pregnant not just working out like crazy post pregnancy.
