(Aug. 25) - It hasn't been the best of summers for those Barenaked Ladies.
The Canadian band's guitar-slinging singer Ed Robertson and three others managed to walk away, unhurt, after crashing a small plane in eastern Ontario on Sunday, police said.

"Everyone is fine and that is the important thing," Adam Smith, the band's manager, told the Toronto Sun. "That's all the comment we have at this time."
Authorities are indicating that the Cessna 206 lost airspeed shortly after takeoff and entered a wooded area nearby. The "very lucky" passengers walked away from the crash and called for help.
Sources tell the Sun that Robertson was the pilot. "He was flying," said one resident, adding Robertson’s wife and two friends were the passengers.
"There's not a scratch on any of them," said the source.
The band's other singer, Steven page, made headlines in July when he was arrested in New York for possession of a controlled substance. According to court documents, Page admitted snorting cocaine in his girlfriend's apartment. He faces 5 1/2 years in prison if convicted.
Formed in the late 1980s, the Barenaked Ladies finally found success stateside in the late 1990s with a string of hits like "One Week" and "It's All Been Done."

To have a second chance at life and taking a hard look at yourself and what kind of lifestyle you're representing to the world. We either represent ourselves as goodor as evil. The plane crash should mark a significant point in their lives.

Uh, I would say it has been a good summer, considering they all walked away from a plane crash!! As to the snorting cocaine, give me a break - 5 and a half years in jail? Sheesh....
