With Election Day just one day away, Beyonce says that she's been inspired and impressed by the global attention surrounding this year's presidential election, and specifically the historic candidacy of Barack Obama. "Everyone is excited and it's time," the singer told PopEater. "I feel like we have grown so much as a nation and we will continue to grow because of Mr. Obama."
Beyonce's praise isn't limited to just the Democratic candidate. "I have had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Obama, his wife and his children, and they are the American dream," she professed. "They are so elegant, so classy, so intelligent and everything that I want to be. They make me really proud of my country."
The singer's husband, rapper-turned-mogul Jay-Z, has been a strong supporter of the Illinois senator's campaign. Jay spent the last few months performing at Obama rallies and benefits, including last week's 'Last Chance for Change' free concert in Cleveland. He's also penned -- along with Diddy and Mary J. Blige -- open letters to his fans to promote voter registration and early voting.
Beyonce's new album, 'I Am ... Sasha Fierce,' will be released on Nov. 18. Look for her exclusive AOL Sessions performance the same day.

Another friggin celebrity spouting thier political savvy. Everyone is so focused on this being a historic election that i dont think they are even interested in the mans politics. I have no problem voting for a black man for president. I would if it were any but this one. The American Dream? I dont think so. I dont think the american dream is to become a socialist nation. He is everything opposite of the american dream. He wants government handling every little area of your life. And wow Beyonce is proud to be an american, well that is more than we can say for the "Classy, Elegant" Mrs. Obama. We are all up a creek with no paddle if he really is elected!
