Boy George Denies He Intended to Hurt Escort He Handcuffed

LONDON (Dec. 1) - Singer Boy George admits in a recording played in a London court that he restrained a male escort with handcuffs.

But the former Culture Club singer says he had no intention of hurting the man. He also denies he tried to assault the escort or that he swung a chain at him.

The singer, whose real name is George O'Dowd, is on trial for the false imprisonment of 29-year-old Audun Carlsen.

O'Dowd says in a police recording played Monday that he asked Carlsen to come to his apartment. O'Dowd says he wanted to ask Carlsen if he had tampered with his laptop.

The '80s pop icon has a history of drug abuse and served a community service sentence in 2006 in the United States after falsely reporting a burglary.

hahahahhahaaaaaa, I don't usually read and certainly not write about this stuff; but..... this is so damn funny I cannot help it. there is lots of singers and movie stars in the news that make"s there money have fun do some trouble make the news and no one talks about hte good stuff they did or have done sence they first came ou as a singer or a actor or actress, but when it comes to george everone says hatefull stuff because he was ou and proud and made more mone from us , uk to japan ect ect. and he still mokes more money than anyone on thise comment page. so let go on with our lives and let the mr. goerge . mrs , madonna , ms. spears or who ever go on with there lives !!

boy george been trouble sence 1986 and 2003 , 2005 but he always bounces back and he knows about his mistakes , and he been up front with all his drama , mistakes what ever gives him in the news with bad karma for him , but he is a man , a singer , a dj , fashion desighner in uk, and new york city he writes , songs , he co writes for othere artist , he always bussy singing , touring and he well known everywhere. because he is george !! god blees him and lets chat about anothere artist. with more toubles than george !!! , ok lol rick

OMG, Culture Club doesn't even deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Fleetwood Mac.Fleetwood was and is Rock Royalty.Karma Chameleon according to all reports has replaced water boarding as inhumane.

Puleeze! Let's not skirt the issue. Nancy unknown visits famous singer for a little S & M with a plan, from the start, to extort money. George, if you get out of this, please, use more discretion....and do a background check. Yes! they really want to hurt you.
