Update: Despite earlier reports, Michael Jackson will not be taking part in the Jackson 5 reunion tour. "My brothers and sisters have my full love and support, and we've certainly shared many great experiences, but at this time I have no plans to record or tour with them," he said in a statement. We're sure this won't affect ticket sales at all.

(Oct. 31) - America's original boy band are plotting a comeback. The Jackson 5, who inspired acts like New Edition, *NSYNC and that group of middle-aged men butchering "I Want You Back" at the karaoke bar, will reunite and tour next year with key sibling Michael in the mix.
Jermaine Jackson told Australian Associated Press on Wednesday that "the whole family" is planning an album and concert tour for 2009.
"This has been a long time coming for the Jackson family to get back together," said Jackson, who's down under to promote a music channel there.
Jermaine even revealed the opening act, a familiar face to pop fans.
"It is going to be more like a family affair. Janet's going to open and, of course, the original Jackson 5 ... Michael, Randy and the whole family ... we're in the studio, we're planning on being out there next year," Jackson said.
If the family pulls it off, expect a Jackson 5 concert to include all their biggest hits from the 1970s, such as "I'll Be There," "ABC" and "Never Can Say Goodbye." Besides Michael and Jermaine, the group includes Jackie, Tito, Marlon and Randy.

I know how to get Michael on tour with the rest of his family. Promise him that he can have the little boys he pleases while on tour. Somehow I imagine this would be the never ending tour if done.

Hey Michael-- looks like you're all set for 'hallo weeny' night! You got the face that would scare a 10 ton tyrannosaurus running across the Bering Strait w/ victim Bubbles on his back! Look out for the chainsaw bandid from Texas cause he'll put your little treat in his bag to be devoured by other demons from Hell.

The Jacksons are legendary but this family has mastered the art of not being realistic, fooling themselves and trying to fool others. The fact is that seeing them perform for free on a TV special or something for nostalgia's sake is cool but their pop appeal is gone and most people don't want to pay to see them. Michael is done and if he's done they're done! That's the truth! For them to even think they'll have a successful tour without Michael is a complete joke and fantasy. They all have to know that. Jacksons you had your hey day! It was great! Now quit trying to relive the past and move on!

Michael is an extreme talent and I hope he rethinks this tour. I would love to see them all perform. So many entertainers look up to him and take such a infuence from his music and performing style. If not for Michael we would not have a lot of the talent we do today.
