(Dec. 31) - Academy Award winner and former 'American Idol' hopeful Jennifer Hudson reportedly wants to sing for President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration in January.
"Organizers want Jennifer to sing 'The Star-Spangled Banner' at the Inauguration on January 20," a source tells The New York Post.
"They are talking to Jennifer about it. It would be the first time she performed since the murders. She is from Chicago and a huge Obama supporter," the source adds.
The 'Dreamgirls' star's mother, brother and nephew were shot and killed last October.

Of course she should perform. She's black and so is he and isn't that why she and other blacks voted for him?

If Jennifer Hudson's rendition of The Star Spangled Banneris as great as Whitney Houston's rendition was, she should definatelyshare in the spotlight with Burach Obama. She deserves to do it,after all she's been through to release her debut album.

Hudson screeches when she sings just like Fantasia aand Aretha. Hopefully they get someone who can sing.
