It's truly amazing how ridiculous most of these comments are written,it's embarrasing to the majority of this country. I was once a supporter of republicans,Mr Obama has finally given me hope that this country can come together,he has inspired me to vote for him because of his true passion to help this country.I am sorry that everyone can't see this.

Political cultists both right and left, white and black are weighing in with their perspectives most of which are jaded, however it does seem odd that he would do this publicly. He could just as easily offered condolences privately which I suppose would mean as much, but he or his campaign chose to do this publicly. I think as many crass statements are there are on this site today, it is pretty crass as well to take advantage of the tragedy to contribute to what his campaign has said in the last few weeks is to make Obama seem more human. I think to do this, for political gain, shows how far politicians will stoop. A phone call for a personal touch would have been more classy....publicity from this....stinks pretty bad.

Jacko is looking real good. Why does the media report stories about old freak child molesters? It should be in a pen.

Movie,Tv,Video and Music Personalities get our attention. Why? I think it is mainly because they, for one reason or another, are able to touch upon certain truths of life that many of us have difficulty expressing, joy, love, jealousy, frustration, anger, rage, fear, loneliness, desperation, hate and, often at it's worst, loss of hope. The effectiveness of their "acting" makes us feel better about ourselves and our abilities to deal with life. I'm glad they are there. They give me a mirror to hold up to myself. They speak words I have found myself whispering in the dark. They shed tears I have fought to hold on to, and they fall apart at times, something I have guarded against as unacceptable but finally come to realize has a place in this imperfect world. We just need to quit idolizing them. Instead we need to treat them with gratitude for their often magnificent work in creating all the subtlties of the human spirit. We need to quit groveling for scraps from their lives. We need to allow t...
