(Oct. 7) - 'American Idol's' Paris Bennett has welcomed a baby girl, her rep said in a statement Monday.
Egypt Bennett, who was born at 3:36 p.m. Monday afternoon, weighed in at 5 lbs., 15 oz.
"I'm so excited to finally see my little angel -- and man, does she have lungs on her," the first-time mom said. "I guess she's gearing up to be the next 'American Idol.'"

The people that are saying racist things need to do a little follow up, I believe Jamie Lynn Spears had a baby out of wedlock, ohhh and what about the Palins daughter, and she is running for vice president. All you racists are mad that this BLACK woman has a better future than most of yoy sad, ignorant people.

Calling a white person a cracker is a term of endearment to some whites.A cracker was the man who whipped the slaves with the bull whip. When the man was coming, the slaves would say here comes the cracker.pretty cool huh?

OMG. THE CRAP YOU READ HERE IS HYSTERICAL. AS POINTED OUT BEFORE, PARIS IS A CITY, NOT A COUNTRY, NAGGER IS JUST AS OFFENSIVE, CUZ WE ALL KNOW WHAT IT MEANS. CRACKER, SOUNDS JUST AS STUPID. HOW ABOUT CALLING ONE ANOTHER HUMAN? THE IGNORANCE AND STUPIDITY IN THE COUNTRY IS STAGGERING. YOU ALL SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES. IT'S HER LIFE. NOT YOURS. YOUR LIFE IS YOUR LIFE. STOP BEING SO JUDGEMENTAL OR THIS WHOLE COUNTRY WILL GO DOWN WITH YOUR PETTINESS. GET OVER YOURSELVES. PLEASE.

Reminds me of the song from the 60s "Little Egypt" - at least she didn't name her brat something full of apostrophes that you can't pronounce.

If the mother and baby were white, and we made a comment about the name, Egypt... woud anyone cry racist? Sounds like racism in reverse. If she were white and unmarried like so many are.. would we be inundated with posts about out of wedlock... an expression that needs buried. What's wrong with just saying single or unmarried? I don't care for the name Egypt for a little girl and it does not matter to me what color the mother is. One has nothing to do with the other.
