'Secret' Ailment Drops Doherty Before Gig

(Sept. 2) - Pete Doherty, the shambolic frontman of UK band Babyshambles, had to be revived by paramedics in Austria after he collapsed before a concert there over the weekend, according to reports out of the UK.

Several newspapers, including The Sun, indicate it was a drug overdose.

The drug-addled Brit eventually stumbled out on stage four hours later, but refused to premiere some home movies that were touted as part of the show.

The rocker was coy following show, telling reporters that "there was some minor problem but it's a secret. Nothing bad, though -- I'm still alive."

It amazes me how these folks can do all this stuff and never die, become incapacitated, or go to jail for a long time. No wonder they do it. Let it be one of average folks and we'll wrap around that car we're upside down around a fricken pole while our insurance has lapsed. I guess some folks (like those with a conscience sp?) can LIVE dangerously.

Quit being haters. Yes I agree he is ugly. I also agree he is wasting his life using drugs. And I also agree the he really isn't popular. But still...wishing death on someone is nasty and karma will come back and eat you in the ass. Maybe he should get into drug rehab?
