I think that Brands comments were not deserved and he was a horrible host...and furthermore to use this platfom to state his political views...I will no longer watch MTV as I fel the choice of this host was in bad taste....

1. Russel Brand does not represent the democratic party and anyone who thinks so clearly has the same level of intelligence as an impresionable 5 year old.2. Brittney Spears won all of those awards because she finally cleaned up her act, got out of rehab, lost the extra weight, and looked decent.3. MTV gives it's viewers what they want, so if you watched and gave them high ratings on this VMA's don't complain, and buckle in for next years. 4. I was distubed by how they let performers like Little Wayne on stage like 3 times and had black people with decent songs (i.e. Lupe, LL Cool J) perform during commercial breaks on the side bar. 5. This was truly an awards show to forget. Better luck next year... though I will not be watching.

ok i dont know who russell brand is just like the rest of the veiwers last night. BUT!! lets not forget how HUGE MTV is. THEY asked HIM to host. THEY knew what to expect. The show was terrible in itself, i dont think Russell Brand should be blamed for mtv's lac-luster production. If you notice the VMA's are more about the performances than anything else now-a-days. Think of last years format. it was just a bunch of performances. Russel brand was picked to move the show along and he did just that. he is not satan, he is not the anti-christ. he is a comedian from the UK. All this back lash goes to show that america picks & chooses when to be moral and when not to be.

i gotta tell you that this was the VMA awards. Consider what it portrays and yo should not be shocked. This was nothing worse than Howard Stern and people watching the show should have blocked their kids from watching. As for political correctness, it was no worse than watching Keith Obermman on MSNBC. BEING A LIBERAL DEMOCRAT, I enjoyed the freedom of speech issue. The host cracked me up. I thought the producers and writers of his monaloge were from either the Jon Stewart show or Saturday NIGHT LIVE!!!

I dont think that RUSSELL BRAND is the best person in the world but people say he is a sex addict and he shod not be tellin the JOINS BROTHERS at the VMA's that they shod have sex when they have a ring on then that they shod not. Also he shod not be tellen the JOINS BROTHERS that they shod be wearin a cock ring at all.
