Boys Like Girls Get 'Love Drunk' With Ashley Tisdale

It’s not about the numbers, but we'll say this: Rising rockers Boys Like Girls sold over 700,000 copies of its 2007 self-titled debut, landing gold certification by the RIAA. When the Boston pop rock quartet's second disc, ‘Love Drunk,’ is released September 8 on Columbia Records, they won’t be watching the figures.

"I don’t care about sales," singer Martin Johnson tells PopEater. "I just care about as many people as possible hearing the music and hopefully, loving it. We just keep it cranking."

The band is doing just that, even before the album’s release. They just started a national headlining tour and released the album’s title track as a single on iTunes. "When that one came together we were like, 'Oh man, this will be great for summer,'" Johnson says. "It’s a fun jam -- it stuck out to all of us."
