LAPD: No Ticket to Jackson Service? Don't Bother Coming

The public memorial service for Michael Jackson is fast approaching, and the LAPD is warning people who don't have tickets to stay away from the Staples Center during Tuesday morning's events. "Stay home," Assistant Chief Jim McDonnell said as plainly as he could on Sunday. More than 1.6 million people registered for the free ticket, but only about 8,700 have been chosen in the lottery. Winner are being notified throughout the day on Sunday, via e-mail. More Details:

The ongoing investigation into Michael Jackson's sudden death has taken a new turn after the powerful sedative Diprivan was found in the singer's home.
Diprivan is an anesthetic widely used in operating rooms to induce unconsciousness. Also known as Propofol, it's given intravenously and is very unusual to have in a private home. TMZ had reported on the Propofol late last week.

After the sudden passing of Michael Jackson, the Internet exploded with 24/7 coverage of every aspect of the pop star's life and death. Entertainment media followed every possible angle of Michael Jackson's story - but has the coverage delved too deep? Some say yes. British tabloid OK! chose to run a cover photo of Michael Jackson that showed the King of Pop either already dead or dying. According to Gawker, even the magazine's staff balked at the choice. Now the Pew Research Center has published data saying that almost 2/3 of Americans think there was just plain too much coverage of Jackson's death, which or without macabre photographs.

Golden Globe winner Harve Presnell passed away from pancreatic cancer on June 30 EW.com reports. The actor, who's is best known for his role as William H. Macy's overbearing father-in-law in 'Fargo,' was 75-years-old. Other notable roles of Presnell's include a turn on 'Dawson's Creek' and 'Flags of Our Fathers.'
