DENIED -- My Clothes Aren't 'Hip Enough' for the Secondhand Store {Lemondrop}
Mar 1st 2010 6:14AM
honey please, re-read the article. She doesn't want sympathy. She said it is better to give clothes, note, GIVE clothes, than to try and re-sale them. The salespeople were nasty and not interested in helping out the public but would rather have a better than thou attitude. I used to take items to consignment shops but the clerks can be rude and the 50% that you recieve for your itemsamounts to nothing. These people aren't interested in helping those that have a huge clothing allowance (the buying public). They are interested in putting you down.
Giving the clothes to a charity does make you feel good.
Don't be so snarky.
