May 19th 2012 1:09PMSilvana: Silvana, dear, before you blow a gasket, let me help you. It's spelled " Southern " , unless you're referring to the 40s actress. In this context, " you're " should not be in caps. The phrase should be " open-minded " . You've used far too many caps in this entry for it to make any coherent sense. Berkeley is a hotbed of liberalism, sad to say. By the way, Silvana, I happen to be a Libertarian, but even I think you're out of line. I don't live in the South, nor am I a ' redneck ' , but I do know many fine folks who fit in either category. Get out and see the world, Silvana. Other-you'll make the cast of " COPS " look like members of MENSA.
Jan 14th 2012 9:38AMI worked at a casino with an attached hotel in the past, and some of the guests acted like the staff were indentured servants. I heard horror stories about the calls to the front desk at three AM from drunk guests about room service being late. We checked their phone log, and no calls to room service were made from those rooms. We showed them the phone logs. Guess what? No apology. Guests would turn their kids loose in the casino, just for some peace and quiet. The minimum age in the casino was 21, due to alcohol in the casino ( it is an adult establishment, after all ) . So, it was no wonder that the turnover was as high as it was. And, Janet, this is not a forum for your sales recommendations. If you have something to sell, go to Craigslist. Somebody need to monitor this site for abuses like that.
Jul 5th 2011 2:46AMBarb, I agree. If you can't be yourself, you have a problem. I still don't understand why movie studios have to look overseas to find talent. What was the point of having Christian Bale and Russell Crowe as the leads in that pitiful remake of " 3:10 to Yuma " .The mere fact that somebody thought that a remake was necessary shows that talent is nonexistent in Hollyweird. Then, if a remake actually WAS in order ( God knows why ) , didn't anyone bother to look for American actors with (gasp!) authentic American accents?. Or, was it simply that Messers Crowe and Bale were brought in to ensure bigger box office receipts? It's all just about money, anyway, so who cares what the audience thinks, right?
