Naked or Not, Famous Vegetarians Are a Passionate Bunch

Posted Nov 14th 2009 11:00AM By: Laura Ferreiro

What could inspire Alicia Silverstone to strip naked in an ad, Natalie Portman to blog passionately and Morrissey to walk off stage at a festival? The answer might surprise you: vegetarianism. Countless actors, rock stars and folks from all walks of life have decided to take meat off the menu and go veggie for an array of reasons as colorful as their personalities.

Put Down the Phone: Celebrity Voicemail

Posted Nov 10th 2009 10:01AM By: Jo Piazza

We at PopEater firmly believe the first rule of being a celebrity is simple: Don't make a sex tape. You never know where that sexy romp in Cabo is going to show up right before you accept your first Academy Award. But the second rule of being a celebrity or even of working with celebrities is this: If you don't want the world to hear about it, don't leave it in a voicemail message. The world's worst father Michael Lohan has been releasing every personal voicemail dealing with his daughter Lindsay Lohan ever recorded on his phone (he must not have an iPhone because our messages get erased after 30 days).

Hopefully people will stop leaving Papa Lohan such scandalous messages, but we highly doubt that is going to happen, which is why we want to take a look back at past celebrity voicemail leaks to show everyone that unfortunately, in Hollywood, history just keeps repeating itself.

Alec Baldwin Loves His 'Great' Butt

Even guys worry about body image -- just ask Alec Baldwin. In the new issue of EW, Baldwin says he plans to get plastic surgery eventually. "I intend to do something," he said. "Let's put it this way: I wouldn't rule it out because... You don't think I wake up every day and wish I looked like this and this and this? But I can't let that bother me."

A History of Celebrity Parent-Child Feuds

Posted Nov 5th 2009 5:00PM By: Amy Wilkinson

The he-said/she-said between actress Lindsay Lohan and father Michael Lohan reached a fever pitch this past week as Lindsay took to Twitter to vent her frustrations with dear old dad. "My father is a lunatic and doesn't even deserve such a title since he's never been around in my life other than when he'd threaten me and my family," she wrote. Michael certainly hasn't been mum in this war or words, reportedly telling In Touch magazine that his daughter is near death from drug use. All this nasty infighting got us thinking about other famous parents and kids who couldn't see eye to eye. Here's a look at the most famous family feuds of all time.

Posted Nov 3rd 2009 7:34PM By: PopEater Staff

Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin are set to co-host the 2010 Oscars. Producers Bill Mechanic and Adam Shankman stated, "We think the team of Steve and Alec are the perfect pair of hosts for the Oscars. Steve will bring the experience of having hosted the show in the past and Alec will be a completely fresh personality for this event." Baldwin and Martin follow in the footsteps of Hugh Jackman, who hosted a revamped Oscars show earlier this year.

Best (And Worst) Brothers in Hollywood

Alec Baldwin and Stephen Baldwin

When you grow up with a brother, there are certain family rituals you go through together. Your first baseball game. Your first day of school. Your first Hollywood blockbuster.

Okay, so maybe not every group of siblings makes movies together, but when you grow up in Hollywood, all bets are off. Over the past few decades, some of the most popular film, television and music projects have come from brothers, like the Stallones in the 70's and the Jonas Brothers today. We examine at the benefits and pitfalls of brotherly love in our look at the best - and worst - brother teams in Hollywood.

Tom Cruise Has Worst Week Ever

Posted Oct 23rd 2009 2:41PM By: Jo Piazza

Tom Cruise
probably didn't get a memo warning him this week was going to suck. So we imagine his head is probably still spinning from all the abuse being heaped on him from every angle. First we find out that Cruise inspired Christian Bale's sociopath killer in 'American Psycho.' Then blast from the past Bronson Pinchot, who starred with Cruise in the eighties classic 'Risky Business', spilled the fact that two decades ago Tom was "the biggest bore on the face of the planet" who made "constant homophobic comments" on set. And then Alec Baldwin had to go calling Tom out at the Elle Women in Hollywood Awards, telling him to take a $29 million pay cut in order to even up the pay-scale between men and women in Hollywood.

Charity Trumps Politics in Baldwin House

If you happen to find yourself along the side of a road staring at a smiling 80-year-old sitting in the sidecar of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, you might just be having a Baldwin experience. The matron of the Baldwin brother movie clan is something of a character herself and known for donning a pink motorcycle helmet to lead motorcycle rallies which raise money for her Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund. "She's just out there man, she just loves it," proud son Stephen Baldwin tells PopEater. Their mother's charity and the fight to cure breast cancer is perhaps the one thing that all of the Baldwin boys can agree on these days. More on the Baldwin family's charity efforts after the jump!

From Angus to Beef, Great Moments in 'SNL' Hosting

Posted Sep 23rd 2009 3:30PM By: PopEater Staff

Thirty-five years, and counting. 'Saturday Night Live,' which has been the subject of so many 'Saturday Night Dead' stories that the show should be on permanent life support, will start its 35th season on September 26th with 'Transformers' starlet Megan Fox as host.

Women like Megan for her saucy attitude. Men like her for, well, other reasons. But will she make the grade for perhaps her most impossible mission since facing down the Decepticons? More specifically, will she be another in a long line of memorable SNL hosts? Memorably good that is.

To celebrate SNL's embrace of middle age, let's look back at some (but by no means all!) of its finest hosts. Videos after the jump.

'Men' and 'Rock' Remain Emmy Kings

Posted Sep 20th 2009 11:52PM By: PopEater / Wire Services

The 2009 Emmys were a lot like 2008's, as both 'Mad Men' and '30 Rock' repeated their wins in the show's top series categories while several individual actors also won back-to-back trophies. 'Men' continues its hot streak of being the "it" show by winning for best drama series despite being on cable network AMC, while Tina Fey's 'Rock' added another accolade with its best comedy series win, with Fey thanking NBC for "keeping us on the air even though we are so much more expensive than a talk show."

There was a surprise here and there, though, as 'Rock' star and creator Fey lost in the best comedy actress category to 'United States of Tara' actress Toni Collette. In other mild shockers in the supporting comedy category, Jon Cryer of 'Two and a Half Men' and 'Pushing Daisies' actress Kristen Chenoweth beat out some bigger names in their respective categories.
