With word that Oprah Winfrey will be taking her ridiculously popular daytime talk show elsewhere (see story here), there's a massive void in the broadcast television world to be filled. Winfrey was always the one to score huge exclusive interviews, landing everyone from Sarah Palin to Tom Cruise to Mackenzie Phillips. So, assuming television execs will want to keep the daytime landscape as similar as possible, who could possibly fill Oprah's shoes? PopEater has a few ideas of who might be up for the job, and why they would or wouldn't work. After the jump, our reasoning as to why these six candidates would or wouldn't work.

During his appearance on 'Ellen,' which airs today, Robert Pattinson describes one overzealous fan who actually took her clothes off for him.

After signing hundreds of autographs, 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' star explains he got a little bored. "You kind of get 10 seconds with each person and you never really say anything and I kind of got bored of saying, 'Hey, how are you doing?'" he tells Ellen DeGeneres, PEOPLE reports.

"[A fan] said in her 10 seconds, 'What can I do to get your attention?' I was like um, just take your clothes off." So she did.

Perseverence has paid off for Ellen DeGeneres, as the quirky talk show host shmoozed, begged and charmed her way onto the cover of Oprah Winfrey's O Magazine, marking just the second time that Miss Winfrey has shared a cover with another woman. After much pleading from Ellen DeGeneres, 'Extra' host Mario Lopez finally agreed to take his shirt off on her show. Lopez bared some skin and fearlessly hopped in the dunk tank to benefit the Ellen for a Cure campaign, which benefits Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Clarisonic Skin Care donated $20,000 to the organization for the dunking to promote Breast Cancer Awareness month.

It seems everyone's a critic when it comes to Ellen DeGeneres replacing Paula Abdul as judge on 'American Idol.' Even in our poll, 61% said it was unfair to have a judge that's not music based. So on her talk show Tuesday, DeGeneres took the opportunity to confront her critics and defend the controversial decision, US Weekly reported.

"Apparently, there's a lot of debate going on right now whether I'm qualified or not to be the new judge on American Idol," she said. "I know there is a lot chatter. I'll tell you right now, how I know I'm going to be a great judge...I've spent my whole life being judged. So I know what it's like."

So far, September's been full of contentious celebrity battles. Between Ellen DeGeneres replacing Paula Abdul on 'American Idol', Kanye West's interruption of Taylor Swift and the start of brand new fall television shows, there's plenty to Google about. "Ellen has been in the industry for so long, I think her opinion most definitely matters. She's been around great talent for a long time. Kara DioGuardi is enthusiastic in her endorsement of new 'American Idol' judge Ellen DeGeneres. "I think it's a genius decision," said DioGuardi in response to the highly publicized decision to bring in DeGeneres to replace former judge, Paula Abdul. "I wish I had thought of it," she added during the Entertainment Tonight/People magazine Emmy Award after-party.

Idol fans have been mixed in their response to DeGeneres, host of the 12-time Emmy Award-winning 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show'. Many are entranced by her populist connection with fans while others are concerned about her lack of musical background which they deem essential to a music show. But DioGuardi, 38, remains unworried.
