Sick Jonas Told to Shush; Show Canceled

Posted Nov 9th 2009 6:57AM By: PopEater Staff

Nick Jonas' nose and golden throat were coated with infection over the weekend, forcing him and his brotherly band to cancel a concert in Switzerland. The Jonas Brothers announced the sad news (for Swiss teen girls, that is) on their Twitter page, explaining that the 17-year-old Nick was "ill with an upper respiratory infection."

Their doctor ordered the curly-haired heart-breaker to "not speak or sing." They added: "This is the first time that the Jonas Brothers have ever canceled a show for sickness and deeply regret" the cancellation.

Alec Baldwin and Stephen Baldwin

When you grow up with a brother, there are certain family rituals you go through together. Your first baseball game. Your first day of school. Your first Hollywood blockbuster.

Okay, so maybe not every group of siblings makes movies together, but when you grow up in Hollywood, all bets are off. Over the past few decades, some of the most popular film, television and music projects have come from brothers, like the Stallones in the 70's and the Jonas Brothers today. We examine at the benefits and pitfalls of brotherly love in our look at the best - and worst - brother teams in Hollywood.

Funniest Andy Samberg 'Digital Shorts'

Posted Sep 27th 2009 9:21AM By: Tom Ganjamie

If there was one thing that would be certain for the season premiere of 'Saturday Night Live,' it's that resident 'Digital Short' auteur Andy Samberg would have some sort of ridiculously funny video planned. While the Megan Fox-starring 'The Date' and 'Megan's Roommate' were kinda funny (watch 'Date' here and 'Roommate' here), we don't think they lived up to Samberg's past greatness (and really didn't need to be a 'Digital Short'). Now that his first crack at funny is out of the way this year, we figured it was time to put together the all-time most riotous 'Digital Shorts' that Andy's sick brain has ever concocted. Watch them all after the jump!

'Lazy Sunday'

This was the original 'Chronicles of Narnia'-themed Digital Short that set 'SNL' and the viral video world on fire. Lorne Michaels quickly learned that posting the videos Hulu was a way to cash in on them, rather than everyone watching on YouTube.

21 Under 21 -- The Hottest Musical Stars: No. 2

Posted Aug 28th 2009 8:00AM By: PopEater Staff

Artist: Jonas Brothers
Ages: Nick, 16; Joe, 20; Kevin, 21

Why They're Hot: The Jonas Brothers are the most sought-after boys around. With four albums in their discography, a feature film under their belts and a hit Disney Channel show on their hands, there's nothing stopping this pop rock trio. The band has been out on a world tour in support of their latest album, 'Lines Vines and Trying Times,' since May 2009, but have still found time to raise funds and appear at events to benefit their Change for the Children Foundation.

What's Up Next: After finishing up their tour in November, the Jonas Brothers will reprise their roles in 'Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam,' which is scheduled to premiere in 2010.
