'Glee' Cast Dish on Musical Influences, Satan's Gift to Earth

Posted Nov 10th 2009 7:35PM By: Michael D. Ayers

With the arrival of 'Glee: The Music, Volume 1' last week, fans got a chance to get their hands on the entire cast recordings of the hit series music in one handy dandy place. And by iTunes sales alone, we know that their rendition of Journey's 'Don't Stop Believin',' 'Defying Gravity' from the Wicked Score and Queen's 'Somebody to Love' are resonating quite well with Gleek Nation. But what are the Glee stars themselves in to these days? We'll give you some hints: someone's a huge Britney Spears fan, there's a love for Beyonce, Michael Jackson was a cast member's childhood alias and one cast member cites Bob Dylan as a recent favorite. If that's not enough, you'll definitely want to know whose favorite concert was metal act Pantera, of which it was described to us as "Satan's gift to earth."

Watch our exclusive video for the answers to these questions and more details on the musical influences from the entire Glee cast after the jump.

About to Pop: After Midnight Project

After Midnight Project

Who: After Midnight Project
Album: 'Let's Build Something to Break'
Video: 'Take Me Home'
Hails From: Los Angeles, Calif.
For Fans Of: Atreyu, the Used

Why They're About to Pop: Since breaking into the Los Angeles music scene in 2004, After Midnight Project have toured relentlessly, signed with Universal Motown and recorded their major label debut album, 'Let's Build Something to Break' with producer John Feldmann (Atreyu, the Used). The band --
vocalist Jason Evigan, guitarist Spencer Bastian, drummer Danny Morris, bassist TJ Armstrong and guitarist Christian Meadows -- have worked hard to build and stay close to their fan base, even encouraging them to be a part of the filming of their first music video. Still, some devotees can't help but pull crazy stunts to get closer to them on the road. "How about the time a fan hid out in our shower on the bus for hours just to meet us? A little creepy!" Evigan tells PopEater. Catch After Midnight Project on tour with Chevelle now to see them rock out live, and keep an ear out for their single 'Take Me Home' on Top 40 Alternative radio.
