Guy Fieri's Life Dream Is to Be on 'SNL'

Posted Nov 16th 2009 11:56AM By: Kara Warner

Like him or not, Guy Fieri is kind of a big deal. His career jump-started by winning the inaugural 'The Next Food Network Star,' Fieri's energetic-yet-relatable style has made him one of the network's most popular -- and bankable. In addition to his three TV shows ('Diners Drive-ins and Dives' is the channel's current #1), this month Fieri embarks on a 21-city tour, dubbed "The Guy Fieri Roadshow" and is celebrating the release of his second book, 'More Diners, Drive-ins and Dives: A Drop-Top Culinary Cruise Through America's Finest and Funkiest Joints.' PopEater spoke with the excitable, no-holds-barred chef recently about the inspiration behind his Rock and Roll culinary tour, why a salad "is not sexy," and how he wants nothing more in life than to be on "Saturday Night Live' ... even though they've lampooned him him twice. Oh, and because 'tis the season, how to do Thanksgiving: Guy Fieri style. Check It Out After the Jump!

Jonah Hill to Flex Man-Child Skills Again

Jonah Hill will co-write, produce, and do voice-over work for a new animated Fox show, Variety reports. The cartoon follows a 7-year-old socialite who speaks and acts like an adult, forced to attend public school.

Does this remind anyone else of Adam Grossman, the smooth-talking 6-year-old played by Hill on 'Saturday Night Live'? Watch him dine at Benihana and order a "Chivas on the rocks" below.

Great '30 Rock' Celebrity Cameos

30 Rock Cameos

For decades, 'Saturday Night Live' was the place where stars went to show off their funny sides and allow fans and viewers to see them in a different light. So it should come as no surprise that NBC's flagship comedy 30 Rock' - which was created by 'SNL' alumni and revolves around an 'SNL'-style variety show - has taken over the mantle of the hot place to find your offbeat celebrity cameos.

Over the show's first three seasons, everyone from Carrie Fisher to Steve Martin to Pee-wee Herman has come on the show, some for a just a quick cameo and others for longer stints as guest stars. To celebrate the premiere of the show's fourth season, we thought it was a good time to look back and take stock of some of the best '30 Rock' celebrity cameos so far.

Taylor Swift is set to host 'Saturday Night Live' next month, and it's almost guaranteed her infamous run-in with Kanye West will be spoofed at some point. "There are definitely some hilarious things that have happened to me over the past couple of months that I think will be pretty substantial skits," says Swift.

Lorne Michaels Won't Be Firing Jenny Slate Over 'SNL' F-Bomb

Posted Sep 28th 2009 1:10PM By: PopEater Staff

Not only does Lorne Michaels have no interest in firing Jenny Slate, the 'SNL' executive producer actually feels bad for the rookie, who uttered the F-Bomb on the air.

In comments to the Washington Post, Michaels said the night was traumatic for Slate because "it was literally her first time on the show. There was nothing dirty, just a slip of the tongue. It was 'frickin', frickin', frickin' ' and then boom! The pain that Jenny is going through is, I'm sure, considerably worse than that experienced by anybody who saw it."

Watch: Megan Fox Joins Parade of Super Hot SNL Hosts

Megan Fox's SNL appearance on the season kickoff proved that if there's one person who's an authority on new, hot starlets, it has to be... Lorne Michaels. Even though the legendary 'Saturday Night Live' producer looks like your benevolent uncle, he has quite the eye for the young ladies. Here's a look at Megan Fox's SNL monologue and some of the other hot actresses that Lorne tapped to host at the height of their sexiness.

Funniest Andy Samberg 'Digital Shorts'

Posted Sep 27th 2009 9:21AM By: Tom Ganjamie

If there was one thing that would be certain for the season premiere of 'Saturday Night Live,' it's that resident 'Digital Short' auteur Andy Samberg would have some sort of ridiculously funny video planned. While the Megan Fox-starring 'The Date' and 'Megan's Roommate' were kinda funny (watch 'Date' here and 'Roommate' here), we don't think they lived up to Samberg's past greatness (and really didn't need to be a 'Digital Short'). Now that his first crack at funny is out of the way this year, we figured it was time to put together the all-time most riotous 'Digital Shorts' that Andy's sick brain has ever concocted. Watch them all after the jump!

'Lazy Sunday'

This was the original 'Chronicles of Narnia'-themed Digital Short that set 'SNL' and the viral video world on fire. Lorne Michaels quickly learned that posting the videos Hulu was a way to cash in on them, rather than everyone watching on YouTube.

Watch: Jenny Slate Drops F-Bomb in 'SNL' Debut, Keeps Her Job

Posted Sep 27th 2009 1:08AM By: PopEater Staff

An SNL F-bomb in the 'Saturday Night Live' season premiere? Sounds that way.

Most new cast members on 'Saturday Night Live' begin their tenure on the show with a whimper. Perhaps a brief cameo as a waiter, an office worker, maybe throw out a wave during the end-of-show "good nights." But not Jenny Slate. During her inaugural 'SNL' episode, the newbie came out with a bang. An F-Bomb bang, that is, in the middle of a sketch about biker chicks. "You stood up for yourself, and I f---ing love you for that."
