Reality starlet Tila Tequila has publicly announced on her Twitter site that she is seeking help for her recent suicidal feelings.

The 27-year-old has experienced some personal turmoil lately, following an alleged assault - by her former San Diego Chargers defender boyfriend Shawne Merriman - at his San Diego home.

Merriman has claimed his innocence, saying that he was only trying to stop Tequila from driving while intoxicated.

Reality starlet Tila Tequila has claimed that NFL star and boyfriend Shawne Merriman choked her, TMZ reports. Merriman's lawyer says that his client was trying to keep an "extremely inebriated" Tila from unsafely leaving the apartment. Impossible, says Tequila via Twitter: "I am allergic to alcohol. It has been publicly known for years... I cant drink."
